86. Frater Gwydion's Magickal Gateways
A slavic thelemite and neopagan in Serbia, Frater Gwydion provides information and a mailing list on slavic Gods and The Book of Veles.
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Agora/8933/
I'm Frater Gwydion and I live in Serbia, Yugoslavia. Yes I know, this is that awful place so torn up with war. As you can guess this is very fucking bad place for living with a lot of communists and fundamental Christians in unnatural coalition. It means a lot of various repression and violations of individual rights. A lot of people left the country. But I don't want to flee. I'm not a "pussy", I'm a Slavic Pagan, and I'm proud of this. Also, I'm a Thelemite. If you are interested in what Thelema is you can get some information about this here
I use the name Gwydion because I'm a Celtophile. But primarily I'm Slavic Pagan and one of the people who work on the reanimation of our native religion. You can read something about old Slavic Gods here . I don't know if The Book of Veles, a very important Slavic Pagan text from the XI century, translated in English, but according to my information our Brothers from Russia will put translation on the WWW in the next months. Till then you can read what some people from the Leszi mailing list said about The Book of Veles here
Drawings (by Jurij Miroljubov) on the top of this page represents Mater Slave, principal Goddess of the Slavs. Between her wings is the Pantheon of Slavic Gods and Goddesses. She is the Cosmic Mother described as a bird in The Book of Veles. She came back among us. And we, her children, salute her. You can read something little about her

http://www.slavicvillagehistory.org/
Welcome to the Mill Creek Falls History Center About Us . . . The Mill Creek Falls History Center is housed in the historic Brilla House overlooking Mill Creek Falls in Old Newburgh, in Cleveland, Ohio. It is operated by the Slavic Village Historical Society and welcomed its first guests the weekend of October 12th-13th, 2002. Regular monthly meetings of the Slavic Village Historical Society are held here. The Slavic Village Historical Society was certified by the State of Ohio as a public non-profit organization on July 12, 1995. It serves Cleveland's Slavic Village and Broadway-East 55th neighborhoods as well as the Mill Creek area. Our mission is "to instill and increase the historical knowledge of the area known as Slavic Village and its adjacent communities." To carry out this mission, the SVHS has conducted neighborhood tours and given presentations to area organizations. We have published a serialized history of the area and a major goal is to prepare a definitive history of Newburgh Township with an emphasis on those areas of Cleveland which once comprised its old 14th and 18th wards. Having acquired the Brilla House in 1999 through the generosity of the Brilla family, longtime Newburgh residents, we proudly call it our home. Our partnership with the

A Celebration for the Ageless:
the Yale Russian Chorus Golden Jubilee
Founding Director Denis Mickiewicz directs the alumni chorus (click to enlarge) How incredible it was to have generations of Yale Russian Chorus alumni at Yale to celebrate the group's fiftieth anniversary. Our alumni, as evidenced by those who came to New Haven to sing in the Woolsey Hall concert, contribute significantly to the ongoing life and vitality of the chorus, and the current YRC is profoundly grateful for that, as well as to have been welcomed so graciously into this round of alumni festivities. Profound love for the repertoire and the joy of friendship were apparent in rehearsal, at social functions such as the magnificent banquet, and especially throughout the concert itself. Perhaps it is inconceivable, however, that any of this could have come about if it were not for the inspiration and sustained dedication of the YRC's founding director, Denis Mickiewicz. At the Friday night banquet, the current YRC presented him with a large Orthodox icon of the Feast of the Ascension and the following words of tribute: For your artistic energy and unshakable desire to bring the power and beauty of Slavic choral music into the lives of all music lovers, for the fruits of your labors that have allowed so many to associate a great university with great Slavic choral music, and for your inspiration to turn an idea into a fifty year reality, the current members of the Yale Russian Chorus honor you, Denis Mickiewicz, our founder, for without your initiative, we would not be able to celebrate this rare musical tradition today.
