unbloody manner. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches:
re-presents (makes present) the sacrifice of
the cross, because it is its memorial and because it applies its fruit:
(Christ), our Lord and God, was once and for all to offer himself to God the Father by his death on the altar of the cross, to accomplish there an everlasting redemption. But because his priesthood was not to end with his death, at the Last Supper 'on the night when he was betrayed,' (he wanted) to leave to his beloved spouse the Church a visible sacrifice (as the nature of man demands) by which the bloody sacrifice which he was to accomplish once for all on the cross would be re-presented , its memory perpetuated until the end of the world, and its salutary power be applied to the forgiveness of the sins we daily commit.

... HOW TO FIND US

OUR HISTORY:
St. James the Greater was canonically erected as the territorial parish of Blind River on June 28, 1947 following the establishment of Ste-Famille as the French national parish in the community. The parish is named after the Apostle James, son of Zebedee and brother of John, who is called "the Greater" to distinguish him from the other Apostle James "the Less" whose vocation to follow Christ came after James the Greater. The first pastor was Rev. E.M. Skillen. The church was officially opened in February of 1949. In the mid-1950's the impact of the uranium rush struck Blind River and on June 5, 1956, the renovations to enlarge the church was begun, increasing the seating to its present capacity of 480. With renovations to the basement hall and the addition of the rectory and office facilities, St. James the Greater held its own until 1992. Under the direction of Rev. R. Ambeault and through a government work project grant, the parish buildings received much needed repairs. The feast day of the parish is July 25th. St. James the Greater is the patron of labourers, pharmacists, pilgrims and rheumatism sufferers.

Cush-grandson of Noah, architect of Tower of Babel
Semiramis-wife of Cush, Queen of Babylon, mother of Nimrod and Tammuz
Nimrod-son and husband of Semiramis, builder of Babylon.
In Egypt, Semiramis became Isis, and Nimrod became Horus (as a child) and Osiris as an adult (the pyramid eye of Freemasonry is the "eye of Osiris"). Sun worship dominated Egypt. Egyptian priests practiced "transubstantiation", claiming to be able to transfer the sun god Osiris into a circular wafer. In rituals prefiguring Catholic Mass, the faithful then ate the "body" of their god to nourish their souls. The letters IHS on the sun-shaped wafers stood for Isis, Horus, Seb (later, Roman Catholics claimed they were the first three letters of Jesus' name in Greek).
anno domini
After Christ's death and resurrection, Satan, using Gnostics in Alexandria, Egypt, corrupted the Biblical scriptures, playing down the deity of Jesus and adding the Apocrypha. As the Roman Empire was falling, Constantine claimed the throne. He was challenged by another Roman general, Maxentius. During a battle with Maxentius' army, Satan showed Constantine the sign of a cross in the sky (an Egyptian ankh) underneath the words, "In this sign conquer." Constantine "became a Christian", painted the ankh on his army's shields, and was victorious. Though he declared publicly that he and his soldiers were Christian, he still secretly worshipped Sol (Baal). Constantine then took over the Roman government and issued the Edict of Milan, a decree of tolerance for Christians, "baptized" his troops, and presided as the first

Introduction
Roman Catholics are Christians who believe that Jesus was sent by God to show people the right way to live. The Pope, based in The Vatican, is the leader of the Church and advises on matters of faith and morality over his world-wide flock.
Central to the Roman Catholic faith are The Seven Sacraments which are: Baptism, Penance (the confession and forgiveness of sins), Holy Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders (where a person devotes him or herself entirely to God), and becomes a nun (bride of Christ), monk or priest, and relinquishes any right to marry, and Reconciliation (the final sacrament, preparing the dying for ever-lasting life). The main difference between the Protestant and Catholic beliefs is that Protestants believe that Holy Communion (Eucharist) is a remembrance of Christ's last supper, whereas the Catholic Church believe that the consecrated bread and wine actually becomes the body and blood of Christ (transubstantiation). In addition, Protestants only have two sacraments, neither of which are Marriage.

Issues, Etc. Journal - December, 1995 - Vol. 1 No. 2 Dead? Wounded? Or Merely Uninformed? What is the human condition? How we answer that question will determine our position on the vital truth of "justification by grace through faith." by Don Matzat The Subject of Total Depravity What is meant by the doctrine of "original sin?" What is the extent of human inability? by John Warwick Montgomery Thoughts From the Noted Apologist. What is Truth? Introduction by Don Matzat: We are living in an age of relativism. For many "Christians," truth is no longer determined by objective standards, but by personal preference. Truth is that which works. They have their truth. You have your truth, and never the twain shall meet. Exclusiveness is the only heresy. At Issues, Etc. , we are different! We have established the motto, "Defending the Faith & Teaching the Truth." We reject relativism and confess the truth of God's Word, especially as it emerged in the sixteenth century Reformation. We therefore critically examine some of the popular movements of the day, point out obvious error, and warn about potential deception. Our great joy is to see Christians developing skills of discernment and learning to stand on truth. If you are one of our listeners either on Sunday night or daily, or perhaps a reader of this journal, and you appreciate what we are doing, we ask you to help us. Please support us financially! We have taken a step of faith and expanded our satellite outreach so that Sunday night

The Canon Why the Roman Catholic Arguments for the Canon are Spurious By William Webster
A full documentation of the information contained in this article is now available in a new book offered through Christian Resources titled The Old Testament Canon and the Apocrypha . This book is a survey of the history of the Apocrypha from the age of Judaism to the Reformation. It provides translations of the comments of major theologians from the time of Jerome to the Reformation, the majority of which have never before been available in English.
The argument of Roman Catholics for the Canon is spurious on a number of counts. First of all, the Councils of Carthage and Hippo did not establish the canon for the Church as a whole. The New Catholic Encyclopedia actually affirms the fact that the Canon was not officially and authoritatively established for the Western Church until the Council of Trent in the 16th century and that even such an authority as Pope Gregory the Great rejected the Apocrypha as canonical: St. Jerome distinguished between canonical books and ecclesiastical books. The latter he judged were circulated by the Church as good spiritual reading but were not recognized as authoritative Scripture. The situation remained unclear in the ensuing centuries...For example, John of Damascus, Gregory the Great, Walafrid, Nicolas of Lyra and Tostado continued to doubt the canonicity of the deuterocanonical books. According to Catholic doctrine, the proximate criterion of the biblical canon is the infallible decision of the Church. This decision was not given until rather late in the history of the Chruch at the Council of Trent. The Council of Trent definitively settled the matter of the Old Testament Canon. That this had not been done previously is apparent from the uncertainty that persisted up to the time of Trent
