Worship is the human response to God's grace and infinite love. It is central to the life of Christ's church. Music is one of the integral elements of our worship. Acting on these convictions, the Presbyterian Association of Musicians energetically promotes and teaches the language of faith through worship so that all of God's people, young and old, are vitally involved in singing, praying, proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Other CCA Breakaway Gen.com Bible Gateway ... Gleanings in Genesis Chapelgate's mission statement is : "Caring people reaching the world for Christ." We do not profess to have "arrived" in this purpose and passion, but it is our calling and the goal toward which we imperfectly, yet fervently, strive. This means that we believe God has called us to love others well. The focus of this "caring and reaching" is both, one another within the body of Christ, and the world around us that so desperately needs to know Him. This will mean that people are more important to us than programs, statistical outcomes and the achievement of ministry goals. In other words, love for people will drive, inform and interpret all programs, outcomes and goals. Out of an understanding of individual hearts, and out of genuinely valuing people in this way, we pray with them and for them, we share those portions of God's Word we believe are most needed by them, we share with them the lessons and mystery of our own spiritual pilgrimage and struggle, and we meet practical needs as best we understand them physically, emotionally and spiritually. The appropriate response to human need includes an integrated and coordinated application of ministries of mercy, mentoring, friendship and spiritual direction.

The Vision
"Becoming a leader church for our culture and the worldwide body of Christ"
We believe that God is calling the Presbyterian Church in America to be a pastoral and leading voice for proclaiming the truth of Scripture, for propagating a biblical, Reformed worldview in our culture, and for making disciples of all nations. We also believe that God will use our church with other like-minded groups of believers across denominational, cultural and ethnic barriers if we will humbly seek to learn from and to work with others that God is calling for the advance of his Kingdom. For these purposes we have committed ourselves to providing ecclesiastical pastoral leadership in our own settings with the prayer that God would lead others of similar vision from across our church to work with us. Ecumenical Relations With Reformed Churches
A historical study focussing especially on the Canadian Reformed Churches
by R.E. Pot
"It is concerning precisely this federation, the OPC, that an explosion of articles and letters has appeared in church magazines of the Canadian Reformed Churches in the last two decades. Synods inevitably find themselves confronted with appeals and letters concerning the OPC, and more and more pages in the Acts of Synods attest to a scrutinizing spotlight on the OPC … To one who has only recently placed his roots in the Canadian Reformed Churches, and hence somewhat ignorant about developments in the North American ecclesiastical scene, the amount of discussion concerning the OPC was a little perplexing. Why all the attention?" - excerpt from the Introduction This paper was initially prepared as a paper in April 1995 for a church history course at the Theological College of the Canadian Reformed Churches. Minor revisions were made in March 1998 to incorporate developments prior to the convening of General Synod Fergus in May 1998. It aims to help come to a greater understanding of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church by examining its roots and history. It gives special attention to its ecumenical contacts with other Reformed Churches, especially the development in its relationship with the Canadian Reformed Churches. May it serve in giving us a greater understanding of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and an eye for the Lord’s work in her history.
