Most who practice Ceremonial and High Magick have a high affinity for mental discipline and self-knowledge (Gnosis). Many follow the writings of Aleister Crowley. Ceremonial Magicians practice magick with Archetypical energies and forces that many might call Gods and Goddesses. Many Cerimonial Magicians do not "believe" in deity in the common sense of the word, but they believe that they are a part of their own psyche. TOT, OTO, The Gnostic Alchemical Church of Typhon-Christ, AA, HOGD, and I am sure many others do worship Deities.

When we experience the powerful force of a waterfall, the elusive beauty of a rainbow, or any other natural phenomena, many of us perceive something else that goes beyond the five senses. Native traditions throughout the world have taught that the subtle forces of the living world cause these intuitive impressions. Known by a variety of names from angel to Orisha, they can be traced by the Sanskrit term devas, or "the shining ones". This book guides us back to these keepers of earth wisdom. The author draws on native traditions from around the world as well as modern teachings to explore the roles, characteristics and significance of the devas. 164 pages. "Throughout history, artists have grappled with the problem of depicting clearly and forcefully the principles of evil and suffering in human existence." With this view, the Lehners have collected 244 representations, symbols, and manuscript pages of devils and death from Egyptian time to 1913. Reproductions from Durer, Holbein, Cranach, Rembrandt and many other lesser known or unknown artists illustrate the fascinating history. The 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries are stressed. Anyone interested in witchcraft, death and devils will be interested in this book. It is particularly useful to teachers, artists, and illustrators who need clear reproduction for classroom, for models or for commercial uses. Death, devils and their history are very much with

Faery Wicca Tarot Deck Faery Wicca Tarot Deck
by Kisma Stepanich
Published by: Llewellyn Worldwide Ltd. Based on the ancient Bardic system of understanding the universe, the Faery Wicca Tarot, by Kisma K. Stepanich, blends traditional Tarot images with the mystical symbolism of modern Faery Wicca magick.
Faery Wicca traces back to a distant age when gods inhabited the world and the lands and oceans were divided among them. These deities came from the OtherWorld, where they acquired secret knowledge, science, prophecy, and magick, now illustrated in a usable form in the Faery Wicca Tarot.
Unlike any other, this deck has five sections, beginning with forty Element cards, ten each for air, earth, fire, and water. Next come sixteen Helper cards, consisting of a maiden, knight, high king, and high queen for each suit, similar to the court cards. Then come twenty-two Ancient Ones cards, similar to the traditional major arcana. The last sections include the Power card and four Gift of Faery cards.
Together, the eighty-three cards of the Faery Wicca Tarot give you a deck steeped in Irish Faery tradition. Beautifully illustrated by Rene Christine Yates, this deck helps you experience the Faery wisdom first hand.

Fairy / Faery / Feri Tradition
Do a web search on any of the above, and you'll get back plenty of confusing information. I recall these various spellings being offered distinctive meanings by Sage Goode in a workshop awhile back (paraphrasing here):
  • " Fairy " denotes the British Victorian winged imp of nature. Sometimes used by other Anglo pagan traditions that work with certain nature spirits.
  • " Faery " - altho used at one time by the Andersons, but changed in later years - denotes R. J. Stewart's respected Faery tradition. Also used by other Anglo pagan traditions that work with certain nature spirits.
  • " Feri " is the way Victor eventually decided to spell his & Cora's particular tradition of witchcraft, so as not be confused with others. Certain initiates may prefer to spell it as "faerie" or "faery", Victor's original name for the trad, because that's the name they knew when first initiated.
There. Feeling better now? The Feri Tradition is still in its infancy, only three or four "generations" long. One of its two originators and Grand Masters, Victor, is recently deceased. Cora is still alive and teaching - through example and gentle transmission - in Northern California.

R.J. Stewart and the World of Faery
    by Megan
    interview
Megan: Can you tell where and how you started? What tradition is it that you practice? RJ: I started with two interests: traditional ballads and folk tales, and meditation and magical arts. Eventually the two came together. I worked for several years (in the early 1970's) with the late W. G. Gray who was a Qabalist and his wife X. Roberta who was an astrologer and who Y. was also very knowledgeable about Celtic tradition. I practice certain aspects of the Faery and Underworld tradition, but I also receive the inner lineage of magical arts and Priest/Priestess hood traditions that we teach in workshops. Some of this inner contact was handed down from WGG, who received it from a French Russian teacher, linking back to the circles of Papus and other mystical/magical orders from 19th century in France with a strong Russian influence. However, I have developed these traditions in my own way, and do not claim them to be anything other than work that I have tried to clarify and develop over the last 30 years. M: Do you call what you do witchcraft or are you a pagan? What is it like to be a pagan in Europe?

Sirona's Books Click on the title for picture of the cover and more information Empowering Your Life With Wicca Filled with meditations, rituals, oracles, affirmations, prayers, and people's stories, this is a book that adds focus to your present spiritual path. Empowerment is what it is all about, and Wicca is one of the ways for getting there. Because the spiritual traditions of Wicca are thousands of years old, many of the ideas are universal throughout the world. "Empowering Your Life With Wicca" brings these ideas together into a way that is both practical, in that it works in the "real" world, and spiritual, in that it gives a sense of "Oneness" with the world around you. The Book of Reincarnation This book explores past lives, futures lives, karma, and how it effects you in your present life. Includes many personal accounts that support the idea of reincarnation. These past life experience are often experienced by children. Present day scientists like Dr. Stephenson have examined these cases and found them to be valid. Research is continually expanding, and some of the findings are incredible. The idea of eternal life continually being reincarnated is inherent in the idea of the Phoenix, a mythical bird that reincarnates every 500 years. Faery Magick Faeries have always played a big part in European folklore, so much so that Shakespeare included them often in his plays, particularly "Midsummer's Night Dream." In addition to the history, mythology, folklore, of the faeries, "Faery Magic" also includes guided mediations, a listing of faeries, magicakal times, magickal ways, as well as spells for romance, home, healing, prosperity, and empowerment.
