Professions The Druid, Keepers of the Balance Overview: While most Healers and Priests draw power from their faith in the All-Father, there are other kinds of priests who walk the World, serving other masters. The most ancient and mysterious of these are the Druids, an ancient sect of priests who worship the primal Beast Spirits and Braialla, Green Mother of the World. The Druids hold their rites at ancient stone circles lost in the deeps of the forest, far from the prying eyes of Man. Their rites and rituals are the echoes of ancient ceremonies intoned by the Elves under the First Twilight ages ago, and their potency has not faded. Through the power of their faith, Druids attune themselves with the world around them, utilizing the hidden connection between all living things and the World itself. Plants, beasts, and the weather all respond to a Druid's magic, which can heal, transform, or command the forces of nature. For four Ages of the World the Druids have taken the responsibility of their power very seriously.

Aerynthian College of Heralds Yanbun's Druid Guide All Worlds
Heralds of War
Yanbun's Druid Guide By Yanbun Canumar – 59 Defensive Druid of the War Fragment January 2004 Druids are one of the hardest classes in Shadowbane to build and play. Druids have the potential to do the best damage in the game out of any class. However, Druids also have the potential to die… fast. An effective Druid will absolutely change the tide of a battle. An ineffective Druid won't kill a single opponent. I. Overview Druids are Area Effect spell casters. They get three AE spells. Druids can heal, quite well in fact. Druids get a percentage heal, and a group percentage heal, along with the Regrowth heal spell, and the standard Healer base class Blessed Mending and Prayer of mending. Druids can be Human, Aelfborn, Centaur, or Elf. Each Druid race has possibilities for different builds, all of which can be effective. II. Creation First, you need to decide which race for your Druid. I should probably talk about different types of Druids, as they coincide with different races. Aelfborn and Elves can make good defensive Druids, which I will go into later. Centaurs make good "Hit and Run" or "Charger" Druids. Humans make very good well rounded druids, which should not be underestimated. If you are going Elf or Aelfborn, do not try to go all out offense, this will not work. Druids are high on the priority list target wise, you will need some way to survive, whether it be HP or Defense.

The Druid Tradition The Order Join FAQ's ... Winners OBOD Beltane Eisteddfod Competition Welcome to our website! The Druid Tradition is ancient, and represents one of the wellsprings of inspiration of the Western Spiritual Tradition. But even though it is ancient, it is as relevant and alive today as it ever has been. All spiritualities grow and change - and Druidry has changed too - and now it is experiencing a Renaissance. Druidry has become a vital and dynamic Nature-based spirituality that is flourishing all over the world. It is a spirituality that unites our love of the Earth with our love of creativity and the Arts. For this reason, much of the modern Druid movement is concerned with innovation and celebration in new ways of living, of community, of ritual, music, poetry, story-telling and the visual arts. And flowing through all these exciting new developments is the power of an ancient tradition - the love of land, sea and sky - the love of the Earth our home. Whether you're just curious about the Druids and Druid Lore, and want to know more, or whether you plan to begin following Druidry as a spiritual path, we welcome you on your journey of exploration!

I t's taken me a very long time to read this book (well long for me). It's not because I've never read a historically-based novel before, I read 'Pillars Of The Earth' by Ken Follett in 5 days and that was a lot longer but highly recommended.
The only reason I can think of for this is that I got bored with it. Why? I don't know, the story should have held my interest. It had all the ingredients - Julius Caesar's rise to power by conquering Gaul. There was political intrigue, Romans, Gauls, Druids, fighting big battles, etc but for me it just didn't 'gel'.
I finished reading the book a couple of hours ago and to be honest I would be pushed to tell you about any of the characters and what actually occurred except some things about Caesar and Brutus but then that would be from previous reading (did Caesar at school in Latin!).
I know I should go and search the Internet and find out more but, to be honest, I'm not that interested. Some books based on history make you want to find out more, this one hasn't done this for me.
