Reading : Psalm 119: 89-112 The Bible is like a deep well of clear water - a well so deep that you can never reach the bottom of it. You will never come to the time when you feel you know it all, and there is no more need to read God's Word. Look at how people received the Word of God. The Bereans in Greece: "- received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so, therefore many of them believed" (Acts 17: 11, 12) Paul wrote to the Thessalonians: "When ye received the word of God, which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God" (1 Thessalonians 2: 13) How carefully we should read this book! God is speaking to us in the Bible! It brings us a hope of life through the gospel. The Bible and Jesus Jesus, of course, had only the Old Testament. But how well he knew it! In every problem and difficulty, he went straight to the Word of God for an answer. Look at these examples: 1. When the Pharisees asked him whether it was right for a man to divorce his wife, Jesus went straight back to the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis. He said to them:

Here is a summary of my beliefs . Please feel free to ask me any questions about my faith. I have written several books and leaflets on biblical matters: The Times: a chronology of the Bible (2nd ed., 1991, Bethel Publications). This book gives 15 detailed charts of Bible history with explanatory discussion. This book is now out of print, but it can be downloaded and printed from this web site. Introducing the Christadelphians: a Bible believing community (1994, Bethel Publications; 1999, 2003, Printland Publications). This is only a short leaflet providing information on the Christadelphians for those who are curious, but don't want to read too much. Taking Control: a guide for youth (2nd ed., 1997, Melbourne Christadelphian Sunday Schools). This book consists of about 30 short chapters looking at issues facing young people and providing a biblical perspective. Out of print. Learn to read the Bible effectively (1998, Bethel Publications). This is a set of course notes for the popular seminars of this name which are run all over the world. This edition is for an eight week course. Cost: $25 (Australian) for master set of notes, overheads and leader's notes. (Or download the notes from this website for free!)
