Who are the Christadelphians?
" We are a small bible based community of ordinary people who try to maintain the faith and character of the first century believers. The name "Christadelphian" simply means "brothers in Christ" We believe the Bible to be God's word and that anyone who wants to take the time to read it and follow it can have hope centering on the second coming of Christ and the Kingdom of God on earth. More information " This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live."

We are simply a group of Bible Students who meet together weekly to worship our Heavenly Father. We are a lay community, (meaning that there are no paid clergy), and the baptized men (Brothers) are responsible for leading, teaching, and exhorting (sermons) the entire Ecclesia (church). There are twelve (12) Christadelphian Ecclesias in Southern California, and several hundred worldwide. Worldwide, there are an estimated 45,000 members. W e specifically believe and teach solely what the Bible says. Unfortunately, what the Bible actually says frequently differs from what the majority of the world's churches teach.

C HRISTIAN A R ESEARCH M INISTRY www.carm.org HOME PAGE The Christadelphian view of the Holy Spirit
The Christadelphians deny the doctrine of the Trinity . Therefore, they also deny that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead. When we say that the Holy Spirit is a person, we do not mean that He has a body of flesh and bones, that His first name is Holy and His last name is Spirit. Rather, the Holy Spirit has personhood in that He is self aware, has a will, and can speak. However, the Christadelphians teach that the Holy Spirit is a force, the invisible power and energy of the Father by which God is everywhere present. It is a "power concentrated through an individual or angel for the purpose of a specific miraculous event or activity."
They teach that the Holy Spirit is an impersonal force by which God inspired the Bible and moved through people the same way as a wind would drive a ship, carrying it along with it. In support of their position, they quote 2 Pet. 1:21

35. Christadelphian Bible Mission
Considerable progress has been made, notably in Malawi, where there are120 christadelphian churches with a total membership of about 5,000.
http://www.cbm.org.uk/cbm2.htm
About the CBM Christadelphians are a body of Christians who try to base their beliefs and practices wholly on the Bible, which they regard as God's word. They try therefore to rid themselves of the various ideas and rituals which have attached themselves to Christianity over the last 2,000 years and to return to the beliefs and practices of the first century apostles. The Christadelphians are a community without the trappings of elaborate buildings, priests or icons, but with a deep respect for God's word and a strong sense of family and fellowship. Christadelphians believe that Jesus Christ, although a man, was the Son of God. Because he led a sinless life, God raised him from the dead and exalted him to a place of honour by his side. God has promised that all those who put their faith in Jesus will also be raised from the deadwhen Jesus returns to the earth to rule over it in peace and righteousness. Christadelphians try to live their lives in accordance with Jesus' commandsincluding the following: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptised will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:15-16)

36. The Coventry Christadelphians: What We Believe And How To Contact Us
Information on the three local christadelphian groups.

The Coventry Christadelphians
There are three Christadelphian groups in Coventry, the East Coventry Christadelphians, West Coventry Christadelphians and the Coventry (Grosvenor Road) Christadelphians. Please contact us on coventry@christadelphian.org.uk if you want to contact the group closest to you. The fundamental Christadelphian beliefs are:
  • The Bible is God's word and the only message from him. It is without error, except for copying and translation errors. There is only one God - the Father. The Holy spirit is God's power. Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary. By living a sinless life Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death. Jesus is currently in Heaven, on God's right hand. He will one day return. When he returns he will rule the earth and give immortality to those who have tried to follow him and do the will of God. His followers will help him to rule. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead. The reward for the faithful is eternal life on earth after Christ's return. Baptism is essential to gain this eternal life.

    The Belfast Christadelphians
The Belfast Christadelphian Ecclesia meets in the Christadelphian Hall, Victoria Square, Belfast (behind the Victoria center and IDB House). There is a public Bible talk about once every fortnight. The fundamental Christadelphian beliefs are:
  • Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead. By living a sinless life, ending with his sacrificial death by crucifixion, Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death. Belief and baptism are essential steps to salvation. When Jesus returns, he will raise his "sleeping" followers from death and grant immortality to the faithful who have tried to live by God's precepts. His followers will help him to rule, bringing justice, righteousness and peace to the whole world - the Kingdom of God.
