Skills for Vital Churches On May 7th-8th 50 people from 8 different churches gathered at Camp Wightman for the 2nd Skills for Today's Vital Church Retreat. The event, postponed from February due to weather, was well-attended. The weather this time couldn't have been better. Teams from each church focused on workshop tracks covering areas such as: Does your church structure help you grow? New life for your church Mobilizing for ministry through volunteers The customer-friendly church hospitality as a tool for outreach The multi-cultural church The workshop tracks, led by ABCCONN staff members, provided participants with practical skills in focused areas that can be used in the service of church transformation. The retreat also gave participants the opportunity to share ideas and support and to discover that "our church isn't alone."
