Yes, these pages are still here. And I've finally found some time to work on them again. To wit, I will finally finish the "Why" page before I move on to my journal, and I found all of the interesting tidbits I saved off of alt.religion.asatru before the newsgroup got flooded by a bunch of spammers and trolls. I'm also starting to write political commentary, and I will have links up to that soon (or at least in less than two years).

page is on-line. Feedback page is on-line. I'm still working on content for my journal page; and I have to add some bad news. All of the Usenet posts I had saved over the years have been lost. This includes Rorik's Recommended Reading List, as well as some insightful and interesting posts from a.r.a regulars (pre-spammer attack) like Dirk Buere, Manny Olds, Steelfoot, and many others. The good news is that I may have hard copies of some of it - when I began my journey into Asatru, I printed everything interesting out and began filling a series of large 3-ring binders (and I do mean LARGE). However, I won't be able to get any of this stuff out and begin transcribing until after I move in mid-May. And I might, might have a journal entry ready sometime next week. I don't think it will be popular or pleasant, though.

    http://www.ealdriht.org/
Thaet Angelseaxisce Ealdriht or Anglo-Saxon Eldright (as it is called in modern English) is an organization dedicated to the study and practice of the pre-Christian religion of the Germanic tribes that migrated from continental Europe to Great Britain in the fourth through sixth centuries. As such it is related to the modern religious movement known as Ásatrú and a part of Germanic Heathenry. Because of the scarcity of information about the religion of these ancestors of the English people, we also draw heavily on the mythology and religious lore of the related Scandinavian tribes, which was better preserved. We worship the group of gods known best through Scandinavian mythology, although we address them by their Anglo-Saxon names. These gods include Thunor (Thor), Woden (Odin), Frige (Frigga), Freo (Freya), Frea (Frey), and Tiw (Tyr), among others. If you have any questions feel free to email Shawn at The Ealdriht

Mimir's Well Welcome... I am a 19 year old college student with a passionate interest in Norse Mythology. On October 4th, 2000, I created Mimir's Well in the hopes of finding other young adults (ages 18-25) interested in pursuing Asatru. I welcome all genuine seekers (regardless of race, ethnic heritage, sexual orientation, gender, age, or other diverse criteria) to join me in a serious exploration of Asatru. We will discuss books (starting with the Eddas), mythology, lore, history, and of course, the spiritual aspects of Asatru as a religion and way of life. Mimir's Well is an e-mail discussion list hosted by eGroups . In order to subscribe, you must first create a free account with eGroups. Afterwards, feel free to send a message to the list and introduce yourself. There are no set list rules, only that this list will be in English, so please be aware of that. Also, once we have a few members ready to begin, I plan to use this website as a sort of homepage for the list. Here, we can post links, book lists anything we deem important. In the meantime, you can always refer to this page for updates and info, or feel free to e-mail me personally if you have any questions or concerns. About Asatru: Irminsul Aettir

    79. Pakanaverkko Ry - Asatru
asatru tai germaaninen pakanuus. Mitä se on? asatru jumaluudet. Nimi asatru viittaa aasojen jumalsukuun (asa = aasa, tru = usko).

Etusivu Pakanaverkosta Pakanuudesta Uskonnoista ... Yhteystiedot

Germaanista pakanuutta harjoitettiin vallitsevana uskontona hamasta menneisyydestä aina 1000-luvulle saakka, jolloin pohjoismaat käännytettiin kristinuskoon. Sen sijaan itse sana "asatru" juontaa juurensa 1800-luvulle. Nykypäivän asatru on saanut alkunsa Islannissa 1970-luvulla, jolloin joukko ihmisiä, etunenässä lammasfarmari Sveinbjörn Beinteinsson, halusi perustaa uskonnollisen yhteisön, joka perustuisi muinaispohjoismaalaiseen pakanuuteen. Yhteisö sai nimen "Félag ásatrúarmanna" ja hyväksyttiin pian viralliseksi uskonnolliseksi yhteisöksi.
