This Apostolic Christian Church website was created to supplement the official website, providing de-tailed and accurate inform-ation about the history, beliefs and practices of the Apostolic Christian Church. Unlike most other unofficial A.C.C. websites, this website was created by those who love their church and what it stands for. The Apostolic Christian Church was founded nearly 200 years ago, however, the core beliefs of this faith can be traced back to the Swiss Reformation in the 1500's and ultimately straight back to the Bible. And that's what makes the Apostolic Christian Church stand out; it has stubbornly held the Bible up as their standard, regardless if its command-ments were considered "pol-itically-correct" or fashionable at the time or not.

Apostolic Christian Church
The Apostolic Christian Church is a baptistic, holiness and pietistic religious body in the United States and Canada The origins of the Apostolic Christian Church are found in the dramatic conversion experience of Samuel Heinrich Froehlich (1803-1857) of Switzerland . Froehlich was baptized in and soon founded the Evangelical Baptist Church . The first American church was formed in Lewis County, New York in by Benedict Weyeneth (1819-1887), who had been sent by Froehlich at the request of Joseph Virkler, a Lewis County Mennonite farmer. In a church was formed in Sardis, Ohio. Froehlich eventually came to the United States. The church experienced primary growth in the midwest. Though sometimes referred to as the New Amish , these believers generally called themselves Evangelical Baptist . In , the church adopted a uniform name - Apostolic Christian Church affirmed , but swearing of oaths is forbidden. Elders serve at the choice of the congregation, and perform all rites and ministerial duties. Deacons serve as assistants to the elders. Singing is a cappela. There are currently three divisions of this church in America. In the early

Church The chart that appears below is designed to convey the fundamental structure of the Apostolic Christian Church in an early historical setting. It does not reflect the later expansive and varied development of the Church produced by the Protestant movement, nor does it elaborate on the ecclesiastical structures of the Roman Catholic Church or of the Eastern Orthodox Patriarchates—except in general terms for that of Constantinople Emphasis on the latter is suitable to the theme of this Web Site, evidenced by the site's content and title, NEW BYZANTIUM. The enhancement of the Greek Church revealed by the chart and expressed in jurisdictional and administrative terms supports the notion of a horizontal expansion. In the case of the Latin Church, the expansion is perceived as vertical, insofar as there is a centralized jurisdictional and administrative authority. The outstanding characteristic of the proliferating nature of the Eastern Church is the binding force of the common Faith that unites the followers . T he various branches in the structure prefer to maintain their individual identities intact—ethnicity, culture, language, traditions, etc

Apostolic Christian Cemetery Location: County roads 200 S and 800 E in Harrison Township, Wells County, Indiana. The original introduction states “ The ground for the Apostolic Christian Church and Cemetery was purchased from Benadict and Anna Baumgartner in 1870. The first person to be buried here was John Meyer, Jr. in 1879. Many names from older records were added to this history. A new section to this cemetery lies across the road but is located in Adams County, French Township. This data was submitted by Mr. and Mrs. John Baumgartner, members of the Wells County Historical Society.” There are several people listed in this cemetery with death dates before 1879: John Frauhiger 1865, Joseph Gehring 1867, Trena Kipfer 1855… E. Puckett, from Ohio, has been working on this index. She has walked the cemetery several times, gleaned information from available records and is adding information from marriage and obituary indexes. PANTAGRAPH WRITER WINS AWARD
The Pantagraph's Pamela Lewis won second place for feature writing in this year's Illinois Associated Press Editors Association news contest.
Lewis earned the award for a three-part series titled "A Race for Salvation," which dealt with Eureka High School track star Heidi Knapp's decision to give up the sport because of her Apostolic Christian faith.
Dear Pamela,
I recently read an article from the Pantagraph entitled "A Race for Salvation" regarding a young woman, Heidi Knapp, about the process of repenting and the participation in sports. There is no publication date on that particular link, <http://www.pantagraph.com/news/features/race/race.html>
I do not know how familiar you are with the Apostolic Christian Church of America but the practices and doctrines stated in the article are not embraced by all Apostolic Christians. I, as a Member if this church find it appalling that young converts are still subjected to this sort of indoctrination during their repentance process. Specifically, that the Christian is required to disengage from sports activities to find grace and salvation with God in Christ.
I spend a considerable amount of time contacting and communicating with members, converts, and friends in the effort to speak the truth in love. Part of this effort includes an on-line satirical page displaying some inconsistencies and the ill treatment of the congregation, many of whom do not yet understand the full grace and freedom of our Lord. I am providing this web link for your information. Thank you for your time.

Sister Forsakes Fellowship for Fellow.
Dark City, California
Bishop brother Fester Finagle has formally excommunicated sister Francis Phfehpfolfhpr in accordance with proper church discipline during a closed member meeting last Wednesday. Fester shared with the congregation of sister Francis' decision to forsake the fellowship. Francis is planning to marry a person of a different denomination. She completely disregarding the member-only marriage doctrine required throughout the faith. Fester shared scripture relevant to the case thus convincing the congregation of her grievous sin. "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us" (1 John 2: 19).
"This doctrine is of the Holy Spirit and intended to prevent a potentially 'unequally yoked' matrimony. Marriage is to be only in the Lord . That is the scripture speaking and it means within our order ," stated counseling bishop Marv Hammerman. "I fully support Bishop Fester, his accurate use of scripture and his love of truth. I am very pleased Fester was able to

hat does the Apostolic Christian Church believe? This church has never adhered to any creeds or confessions of faith, but instead the Bible as a whole. A common question in Apostolic Christian circles is "Is it Scriptural?" meaning, "Does it agree with the commandments and precepts of the Bible, especially the New Testament?" If it is, then it is something that Apostolic Christians will strive to abide by. The Apostolic Christian Church comes from Anabaptist roots going back to the 1500's. The Anabaptist movement was seen as extremely radical when it began because its followers dared to dispense with all of the baggage from centuries of Roman Catholic theology and tradition and use only the Bible as their guide. The other reformers were quite comfortable letting many inherited beliefs and traditions from the Roman Catholic Church continue on in their new denominations (click on "History" above for an good overview of this). Of course, today many churches claim to be "Bible-believing" churches, but is it possible that they have swept some parts of the Bible under the rug? We have shown our beliefs along side those of other common denominations in America just to make clear what the differences are and why. Our main beliefs are listed below briefly. Many have links to additional information and/or book recommendations for those looking for more detailed information on these beliefs.
