There are 79 who died before the turn of the century, of which 28 were children under the age of 10 and infants.
Graves are numbered from the south and go north. Row number 1 is in the farthest east. The old cemetery has two sections referred to as the 'South Section' or Addition '21' on these printouts or as the 'North Section' or Addition '22'.

http://www.apostolicchristian.org/welcome/origin.htm
ORIGIN
The church was founded in the early 1830's by Samuel Froehlich, a young seminary student in Switzerland, who had experienced a Biblical conversion. Feeling led of God, he began preaching the simple truths of the Bible. Ultimately, some 110 congregations were formed in thirty-five years in several European countries. Froehlich's intent was to organize a church based on a literal interpretation of God's Word. He emphasized the verse, "...teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." The church, while recognizing Froehlich's work, gives God the glory for all these accomplishments. Froehlich was a scholarly and energetic preacher who, against great odds and many disappointments, powerfully conveyed the message of salvation. He was also skillful in persuasion, especially in personal visits, and in this way he drew many to the Bible's pattern of repentance. His attitudes and Biblical understandings were shaped, in part, by the radical reformers of the sixteenth century known as Anabaptists whose doctrinal motto was "Sola Scriptura." This meant that Scriptures alone constituted the only true foundation for doctrine and lifeand they were to be followed. The church has continued over the years to follow diligently New Testament teachings, and to regard the entire Word as infallible and inerrant. The Anabaptists were the first reformers of sixteenth century Europe to teach and practice adult baptism or "believer's baptism" as opposed to infant baptism. Froehlich, too, instituted the practice of adult baptism in his churches. In Europe, the church was known as Evangelical Baptist. It later became known as Apostolic Christian in America. This name was chosen because the church follows the teaching of Christ and the Apostles.

APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH BIBLE LESSON OUTLINE Fourth Quarter, 2002 THEME: THE EARLY CHURCH INTRODUCTION: In the fourth quarter we begin six months of study emphasizing life in the early church. We shall allude to Paul very little in this series, for his life will be studied as a separate unit later on in the cycle. We are again using the interesting approach of combining narrative and non-narrative material. Since the writers of the General Epistles were active during the early years of the Church’s existence, we shall utilize portions from the Epistles of Peter, James and Jude. We continue to have a greater coverage of the Scriptures than we have ever had before. For example, in the fourth quarter every verse in the first five chapters of Acts is included in the Study Text. http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/iowa/cemeteries/apostolichistory.htm
Apostolic Christian Church History In the years between 1868 and 1890, a number of families of the Apostolic Christian faith came to the community of West Bend, where some of them received Patent Land Grants from the U.S. Government on unbroken prairie land. Some came by covered wagon, drawn by oxen, and horses from Elgin, Iowa. Others come from various places, including Ohio, Illinois and some from Switzerland. No tree grew except along rivers and streams, but prairie grass was everywhere, some as tall as a boy on horseback! Some of the families lived in log cabins, others in sod houses made by staking squares of sod for walls. The roofs were made of small willow limbs tied together with prairie grass, until they were about a foot in thickness. The floors were dirt, perhaps in very rare instances an animal skin for a rug, and open fireplaces were used for cooking and also provided warmth. Trips to town were not frequent as "town" was Fort Dodge, 45 miles away. These trips were made by a group of men and took several days. They brought mail, sugar, and flour made from wheat which they had taken with them to be ground at the mills. Indians were numerous, but most of them were friendly if not disturbed when helping themselves to corn from the white men’s supply or when crossing open prairie. No doctors being available, some of these sturdy pioneers out of love and care for each other took the responsibility of administering first aid, and caring for the sick and dying with the simple medicines which they kept on hand. Another of the many labors of love was preparing bodies of their own dear ones for burial. Some were buried in plots near their homes and some in the cemetery in Garfield Township, Section 8 before 1896, when the present private cemetery was used, the first burial being that of a 13 year old boy, Peter A. Banwart in 1887.

The church of Princeville is tied directly to the congregation formerly located at the northern edge of Akron Township in Peoria County. For many years it was referred to as the "Streitmatter Prairie" church, and reference to the congregation as "Princeville" did not occur to any great extent until the church's second building was built in Princeville during 1920-1921. It is interesting to note that when brethren from visiting churches would visit the prairie church in Akron Township, on returning to their home congregations, they would extend "greetings" from the "Streitmatter Prairie" church. During this era, the giving of greetings (following the morning worship service) was not as prevalent as today because travel was limited by slower modes of transportation. The family name "Streitmatter" looms significantly in the history of the Princeville congregation. It was only by the most fortuitous of circumstances that this large family came to the area, that they learned of and embraced a new faith, and that eventually a church was born.

Try the spirits Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world(1 John 4:1). Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good(1 Thess 5:19-21) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
