The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated) - Episode Guide
Season: All
Season 2 gs Jamie Lee Curtis (Guest) John Ritter (Guest) Alyssa Milano (Guest) Dwayne Johnson (Guest) Maile Masako Brady (Herself (cameo))
After a summer of repeats, Wayne Brady launched all over the country with new shows. His show featured a brand new set and new graphics. As he entered the stage, he brought out his daughter to greet the audience with him. Brady also spoke about his Emmy wins and sang about the news events of the summer. His first guest was Jamie Lee Curtis from the summer movie, "Freaky Friday," who told Wayne how happy she was to be over 40 and have a hit movie. She also discussed her love of Justin Timberlake, so Wayne surprised her with a basket of JT stuff. Unlike other talk shows, Wayne's show is kid friendly, so to please the children in the audience, Wayne welcomed the Bear in the Big Blue House. Bear sat in a regular guest chair and even danced with Wayne.
b : 01-Sep-2003 pc gs Regis Philbin (Himself) Amy Smart (Herself) Uncle Kracker (Himself)
The second show of the season featured entertainent favorite Regis Philbin. The talk show host said he loved Wayne's new set and asked him to take him on a tour. Regis brought Wayne backstage and into the green room where he marveled at all of the food Wayne provides for his guests. He also visited the booth to meet the new director of the show. After a break, Regis, known for his singing, sang a rendition of "What A Wonderful World" with Wayne.

General comments:
Mary Lydia Ryan sings and plays the piano, and so comparisons to Tori Amos come to mind. She's quite different though. While a song like "Bleeding" could have been a Tori song ( Little Earthquakes era) most other songs are more mellow, more melancholic, introspective and wistful. Not depressing. Most songs have something uplifting in them as well. It's good music for a rainy day when you're comfortable inside by the open fire. Mary Lydia's piano playing is not as eloquent as Tori's but it's nice and flowing and very effectiveI like it very much. I like the prominent role the piano has in most songs, sometimes it seems even more important than her singing. Her voice is high and clear, and very slightly lingering. ( Marion.Kippers@wkap.nl
