In the Holland Festivals of 1973 and 1974, he collaborated on the programmes of the Stichting Eigentijdse Dans (Contemporary Dance Foundation) of Koert Stuyf and Ellen Edinoff, in which Satie's music had an important place. In 1974, he took part in a Satie programme in the Warsaw Autumn Festival. In the late 1970's he performed in a series of concerts of twentieth-century music, in which each concert is devoted to a particular theme. Reinbert de Leeuw was born in Amsterdam in 1938.
