Gobat, Charles-Albert
From its inception in 1888, Gobat worked with the Inter-Parliamentary Union, founded by William Randal Cremer, recipient of the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1903. In 1892 Gobat was president of the union's fourth conference, which was held in Bern and which founded the Bureau Interparlementaire. He served as general secretary of the bureau, an information office dealing with peace movements, international conciliation, and communication among national parliamentary bodies. The third conference of the union, held in Rome in 1891, established the International Peace Bureau, of which Gobat was director when it was awarded the peace prize. Among Gobat's books on international affairs and history is Le Cauchemar de l'Europe (1911; "The Nightmare of Europe"). °í¹Ù (Charles-Albert Gobat). 1834. 5. 21 ½ºÀ§½º Æ®¶÷¶û~1914. 3. 16 º£¸¥. ¿¤¸® µÚÄÚ¹¥(1906 Á×À½)°ú ÇÔ²² 1902³â ³ëº§ ÆòÈ»óÀ» ¹Þ¾ÒÀ¸¸ç µÚÄÚ¹¥ÀÇ µÚ¸¦ À̾î, 1910³â ³ëº§ ÆòÈ»óÀ» ¹ÞÀº ±â±¸ÀÎ ±¹Á¦¿µ±¸ÆòÈ±¹(Bureau International Permanent de la Paix) ÑÀç°¡ µÇ¾ú´Ù. °í¹Ù´Â Àª¸®¾ö ·£µé Å©¸®¸Ó(1903 ³ëº§ ÆòÈ»ó ¼ö»ó)°¡ 1888³â¿¡ ¼³¸³ÇÑ ±¹Á¦ÀÇ¿ø¿¬¸Í¿¡ ³À½ºÎÅÍ Âü¿©Çß´Ù. 1891³â ·Î¸¶¿¡¼ ¿¸° ±¹Á¦ÀÇ¿ø¿¬¸Í Á¦3Â÷ Ñȸ¿¡¼ ±¹Á¦¿µ±¸ÆòÈ±¹À» ¼³¸³ÇßÀ¸¸ç, °í¹Ù´Â ÀÌ ±â±¸°¡ ³ëº§ ÆòÈ»óÀ» ¹Þ¾ÒÀ» ¶§ ¥ÀÓÀÚ·Î ÀÖ¾ú´Ù. 1892³â º£¸¥¿¡¼ ¿¸° ±¹Á¦ÀÇ¿ø¿¬¸Í Á¦4Â÷ ÑȸÀÇ ÀÇÀåÀ̾úÀ¸¸ç, ÀÌ Ñȸ¿¡¼´Â ±¹Á¦ÀÇ¿ø»ç¹«±¹À» ¼³¸³Çß´Ù. ±×´Â ÆòÈ¿îµ¿, ±¹Á¦Á¶Á¤, °¢±¹ ÀÇȸ°£ÀÇ ±³·ù¸¦ ´Ù·ç´Â ¢±¸ÀÎ ÀÌ »ç¹«±¹ÀÇ »ç¹«ÑÀåÀ» ¿ªÀÓÇß´Ù. ±¹Á¦¹®Á¦¿Í ¿ª»ç¿¡ °üÇÑ °í¹ÙÀÇ Àú¼·Î ¡´À¯·´ÀÇ ¾Ç¸ù Le Cauchemar de l'Europe¡µ(1911)ÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù.
