Bloch, Konrad (Neisse, 1912) Bioquímico estadounidense de origen alemán. Se trasladó a EE UU en 1936 y fue profesor en la Universidad de Harvard. Estableció la biosíntesis del colesterol y demostró la importancia de este compuesto en la formación de los esteroides altamente activos, como las hormonas genitales y las suprarrenales.
