HELL CREEK PROJECT DINO DIG
OLDEST T-REX UNEARTHED A record eight specimens of Tyrannosaurus rex have been discovered and unearthed over the last five years at the Hell Creek Project Dinosaur Dig in northeastern Montana. Excavation of the oldest T-rex on record, estimated to be about 68 million years old, was completed during the 2003 field season. more >

ON MONTANA FARM Two hadrosaurine (duck-billed dinosaur) skeletons have been discovered on a remote farm in north-central Montana. A Museum of the Rockies team began excavating in May, following the trail of articulated vertebrae.

NEW DINOSAUR HALL The Museum of the Rockies received its largest donation ever in July 2003. A two million dollar gift from the Thomas and Stacey Siebel Foundation is enabling the Museum to open a new dinosaur exhibition hall in 2005.
