encourages active exchange among scientists through international cooperation. The ocean floor is a natural archive of information on how Earth works and has worked for millions of years. The composition and structure of seafloor sediment and underlying basement crust yield important clues to the evolution of life, ocean-atmosphere dynamics, and the tectonic processes that shaped Earth's continents and ocean basins as we know them today. The World Data Center for MGG, Boulder manages all types of data from the ocean floor including underway geophysical measurements and derived gridded data sets, and descriptions and analyses of geologic samples. Data are contributed by sources from around the world and were originally collected for a variety of purposes, including academic research, international and interdisciplinary scientific projects, mineral resource evaluations, defense, and environmental baseline studies. Data are available at cost of reproduction, or free on exchange. Many data sets are also available for free download.

Discovery Int'l Geophysics Inc.
Since 1996 we've been servicing the vibrant mineral exploration industry in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our well-organized and efficient field crews, along with advanced modelling, inversion and interpretation procedures have propelled Discovery to be the leading geophysical provider in Newfoundland and Labrador. We now have permanent offices in B.C. and Manitoba and look forward to providing geophysical services to these regions of Canada.
You can depend on Discovery Int'l Geophysics Inc. to provide this service with each and every survey.
Winter/Spring 2002: Discovery completes a variety of small-scale geophysical surveys for junior mining companies and local prospectors in central and eastern Newfoundland. Winter/Spring 2002: Winter 2002: Discovery completes approximately 130 line kilometres of high resolution ground magnetics and controlled source VLF for Altius Minerals and Cornerstone Resources in central Newfoundland. The area is an emerging gold play recently recognized as having potential for epithermal "Carlin Style" gold mineralization.

The objectives of Review of Geophysics are to provide an overview of geophysics and the directions in which it is going and to serve as an integrating force in geophysics. Authorship is by invitation, but suggestions from readers and potential authors are welcome. Reviews of Geophysics distills and places in perspective previous scientific work in currently active subject areas of geophysics. Contributions evaluate overall progress in the field and cover all disciplines embraced by AGU. Printed on acid-free paper. Impact Factor 6.083. Ranked #1 of 51 journals in the Geochemistry and Geophysics category of the 2002 Journal Citation Reports . The impact factor measures the frequency in 2002 with which the average article in a journal has been cited in 2000-2001, as calculated in the Journal Citation Reports, published by the Institute for Scientific Information.
