On the left is a 12v bench power supply. Above that is a Grid Dip Oscillator (Which I dont use much these days). In the center, is a PIC based frequency counter. Above it is a High impedance voltmeter with RF probe On the right is my homebrew oscilloscope using a valve final amps (it is not working these days and I am using borrowed PC-based scope). Mit dem neuen Kern will ARM die Lücke zwischen herkömmlichen DSPs, die zwar flexibel, aber langsam und groß sind, und kundenspezifischen Chips (ASICs) schließen. Chips mit OptimoDE-Kern sollen bei ähnlicher Leistungsfähigkeit nur etwa zehn Prozent mehr Chipfläche als entsprechende Speziallogik benötigen. Zu dem IP-Core, dessen Lizenzmodell laut Aussagen des Herstellers an das der ARM-9-Cores angelehnt ist, gehört auch eine komplette Entwicklungsumgebung. In dieser kann der Kunde sowohl nach Bedarf einzelne Funktionsblöcke für seinen Chip auswählen, als auch die Definitionsdateien für den integrierten Compiler erstellen. Aus dieser Datei liest der C/C++-Compiler aus, welche kundenspezifischen VLIW-Befehle das jeweilige Design unterstützt und optimiert den Code dann entsprechend. Über einen AMBA-Bus lassen sich die OptimoDE Data Engines mit anderen IP-Cores, wie ARM-9-Kernen, Peripherie-Modulen (Ethernet, USB, RAM-Interfaces) und eigener Logik kombinieren. Dadurch sollen kostengünstige Ein-Chip-Designs für Mobiltelefone, Hörgeräte oder andere Produkte, die hohe Anforderungen an die Datenverarbeitung stellen, möglich werden. Vor einiger Zeit hatten wir Euch aufgerufen, ein neues Logo zu finden. Nachdem etliche Logos eingetroffen sind, kommt jetzt die Zeit zum Abstimmen Nach langer Zeit ist das nun der erste Versuch eine schön gestaltete Homepage zu bauen. Ich hoffe es ist mir gelungen. Vom Inhalt hat sich nicht viel geändert. Es gibt weiterhin das Tutorial "DSP: Datenbank, MySQL, PHP". Neu hinzugekommen sind allerdings die Beispiele, die sich unten auf der Seite befinden. Diese Anleitung, die sich gleichermaßen an Anfänger wie allgemein Interessierte in Sachen Datenbanken, SQL und PHP richtet, versucht schrittweise und spielerisch in die Geheimnisse der dynamischen Informationsverarbeitung im WWW einzuführen. Von der Datenbank-Theorie und -Praxis (am Beispiel mySQL) über die webfreundliche Scriptsprache PHP (inklusive Themen wie Datenbank-Anbindung und Objektorientierung) bis hin zu XML wird auf leicht verständliche Art beschrieben, welche Möglichkeiten moderne Technologien bieten, Webseiten dynamisch zu gestalten. Nicht fehlen dürfen dabei natürlich die zahlreichen Beispiele und und Hinweise; so gibt es u.a. auch ein Kapitel, das sich mit der Behandlung und Vermeidung von Fehlern beschäftigt. Das Tutorial gibt es in drei Formaten: HTML, PDF und PostScript. Ersteres ist zum "nur mal reinschnuppern" gedacht, hat aber z.B. beim drucken diverse Probleme. Dafür sind dann entweder die PDF oder PostScript Varianten gedacht.
