En opgørelse viser at de til dags dato komponerede værker alene for solo-guitar; "Returns", "In Memory Of...", "Papalagi", " In the mood of Spades ", " The Queen of Hearts ", " Clubs among Jokers Lige så omfangsrig Per Nørgårds guitarmusik er, lige så forskellige og egenartede er de enkelte værker med med de idyllisk-harmoniske "Returns" og "The Queen of Hearts" og det vilde eksperimenterende i f.eks. "Papalagi" og især i guitartrioen "Playtime" som stærke modpoler. Jeg vil i denne artikel fokusere på suiterne " In the mood of Spades ", " The Queen of Hearts " samt " Clubs among Jokers ", der er komponeret i mellem 1985 og 1995. Til sammen med den endnu ikke færdiggjorte "Jack of Diamonds" udgør de et gigantisk værk med en spilletid på 35-40 minutter med overtitlen "Tales from a Hand". Musikken i denne suite-cyklus beskriver de fire farver indenfor spillekortene - eller rettere komponistens associationer, idet disse kortfarver ifølge Per Nørgård selv kun er "mildt symbolske". Endvidere kan suiterne, som det hedder i en programnote, betragtes som komponistens kærligt/ironiske svar på lignende musiktilforordninger op igennem musikhistorien så som "Dyrekredsen", "De fire årstider","Planeterne", etc. Derfor har komponisten følt sig forpligtet til at finde på helt nye historier...

ENERGY SAVING EXPERIENCES AND PROSPECTS Jorgen Stig Norgard Department of Buildings and Energy, Technical University of Denmark, DK-2800 Lyngby, Denmark 1 Introduction Internationally Denmark has sometimes been ascribed a reputation of being progressive in terms of environmentally sustainable energy policy. It is true that there are stories of success, and courageous plans have been put forward by Danish governments. It seems to me, however, that from an overall point of view, the Danish energy policy can only be termed environmentally progressive in relative terms, that is when compared to the little other countries are doing for our commonly shared environment. Since practically all energy supplies involve some environmental damages or limitations, a sustainable energy policy must always be based on a pillar of energy demand constraints. For that reason the content of this paper will focus on the amazing options for reducing the use of energy while still maintaining a high quality of life. The discussion will deal with the effort to save energy in Denmark. Denmark is a small country with 5 million people crowded on 44.000 flat square kilometers, situated in a temperate climate zone in Scandinavia, Northern Europe.
