In 1709 stond hij als rechtenstudent ingeschreven te Padua, in 1710 bracht zijn huwelijk hem in conflict met de kerkelijke autoriteiten. Hij zocht asiel in een klooster te Assisi, waar hij hoogstwaarschijnlijk muziekonderricht kreeg van Bohuslav Czernohorsky. In 1714 was hij werkzaam als orkestmusicus in Assisi en Ancona. In datzelfde jaar ontdekte hij het verschijnsel van de combinatietonen. Recordings Core Players Terrie Baune - violin, is the Concertmaster of The Women's Philharmonic, Associate Concertmaster of the Oakland-East Bay Symphony, and a member of the Empyrean Ensemble, a professional new-music ensemble in residence at University of California, Davis. Ms. Baune's professional credits include concertmaster positions with the Fresno Philharmonic, Santa Cruz County Symphony and Rohnert Park Symphony. She was a member of the National Symphony Orchestra for four years; she also spent two years as a member of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra of New Zealand, where she toured and recorded for Radio New Zealand with the Gabrielli Trio, performed with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the New Zealand Chamber Orchestra, and toured the country as solo violinist with the Concert By Candlelight Orchestra. The group was formed in 1999 and gave their first performance in the Unsung Heroines Series of women composers in early music. The concert attracted much interest, including a broadcast and interview on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour. They recently gave a very well-received performances at the National Portrait Gallery and Hestercombe Gardens, near Taunton for Chard Foundation of Women in Music The Programme Working Women is a unique performance celebrating the music of a group of women composers who worked in London in the years bridging the 18 th and 19 th centuries. However, Elisabetta de Gambarini, Maria and Cecilia Barthélemon and Maddalena Lombardini were all performers who also published their work. Although they are completely unremembered today, the music of these “unsung heroines” is exquisitely crafted.
