MARTIN SHORT Actor / Comedian Comedian Martin Short became a star in the 1980s on the television comedy shows SCTV and Saturday Night Live , known for his broad, physical comedy and dead-on impersonations (including one of Katharine Hepburn ). His early movie roles included Three Amigos (1986, with fellow SNL comedians Chevy Chase and Steve Martin Innerspace (1987) and Clifford (1994), but Short's great television work never seemed to translate onto the big screen. During the '90s he returned to television in short-lived series and guest appearances and appeared in occasional comedy roles in the movies (including 1996's Mars Attacks and 1999's Mumford ). On his 1999 talkshow he occasionally appeared in heavy makeup as Jiminy Glick, a Hollywood reporter who is at turns obsequious and dismissive during celebrity interviews. Short then developed the character for Comedy Central's series Primetime Glick , which debuted in 2001. Martin Croker Born and raised right here in Atlanta, Clay Martin Croker has pursued a lifelong interest in animation, much to the chagrin of academic instructors who advised him to, in his words, "grow up and forget about cartoons." It is Croker, however, who is having the last cackle. As the voice of both Zorak and Moltar on Space Ghost Coast to Coast , millions hear his vocal stylings on an almost-daily basis. In addition, Croker has animated at nearly every studio in Atlanta, including a five-year stint at Crawford Communications' DESIGN efx as senior cel director. Given his background and love of art, it makes perfect sense that he would end up on the Cartoon Network. Martin Short biography Martin Short was born March 26, 1950 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. After graduating from high school, he worked his way through college. He graduated from McMaster University with a degree in social work. He was always considered to be a comedian and upon graduating from college, he appeared in Canadian stage productions. He also appeared on Broadway with his first play being Neil Simon’s "The Good-bye Girl." From stage, Martin turned to other roles. He started out with small acting roles appearing on American television. He appeared in two series, The Associates and I'm a Big Girl Now. In 1982, his big break came when he was appearing on SCTV: Network 90. This was the American version of the Canadian comedy series SCTV. bodyOffer(5754) In 1983, Martin Short returned to Canada to appear in the original SCTV. In 1984, he appeared on Saturday Night Live and was there until 1985.
