Tonight...on the day of Roy Horn’s 59th birthday, he was attacked onstage by one of his white tigers. The attack caused serious injury to him, and he is now in the hospital in stable, but critical condition. The show has been cancelled indefinitely. We fervently hope that Roy will completely recover from his injuries, and we remain shocked, stunned, and amazed by the entire incident. It seems utterly impossible that this could happen. Roy...we send you our thoughts, our energy, our hopes, and our prayers...get better. We want to see you again, onstage, and doing that which you love.
The show is not perfect, but it is always fun.  The provided program says, "Don’t call us magicians or conjurersstorytellers would be just right."  As storytellers, though, a lot gets lost in the translation. The images that are created and presented are often convoluted and confusing. The progression and through-line of the story is weak, and our main character, oftentimes, only seem peripherally involved. Most of the time, however, we don’t care. The elements are fun to watch, and we’re just having a good time. The theatre is wonderful.  It is big.  It is beautiful.  It is comfortable.  The theatre was built especially for this show, and it has all of the technical support, space, bells and whistles that are needed for this show.  The theatre supplies a good support system for the show.

It is amazing to think that most radio stations broadcasting this very moment have been on the air continuously for at least 50 years, many much longer. KROY signed on the air in 1938 and you can still listen at 1240 on your AM radio. Of course, if you are under 35 years old, you've probably never heard of it, unless you like Spanish programming. But there was a time when KROY was absolutely, positively, the undisputed leader the flagship of the culture the most listened to radio station in Sacramento. From the fall of 1968 through the fall of 1973, in every Arbitron rating book, KROY was number one. In l972 Dwight Case left for Los Angles to take a senior position with RKO and management of KHJ radio. By then, we had a fabulous radio station, run by some very capable individuals. (Understand, outstanding GMs lead more than they manage, and they grow their people by allowing them to run the station. Besides, it would have been no credit to Dwight Case had we floundered and collapsed the day he left.) KROY would eventually fall from dominance because of the popularity shift to FM. After serving as program director for the last two years of KROY's dominance, I said goodbye to the station I loved in December of 1973. That fall book was the last number one Arbitron KROY ever had.

chuck Baldwin I m talking with Judge roy Moore from Gadsden, Alabama,Etowah County, Circuit Judge. We re sitting in his courtroom.
http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/moore.html
Interview With Judge Roy Moore Friday, November 14, 1997 Chuck Baldwin Judge Moore, thank you very much for being with us on "Chuck Baldwin Live" today. Let's begin talking about the Ten Commandments case. Sitting here in your courtroom I'm looking at the Ten Commandments on your wall along with the great seal of the State of Alabama. Give us a little background. How did that come to hang in your courtroom? Judge Roy Moore : Well, when I took over as Judge of the Circuit Court here in Etowah County in 1992 there were not many displays upon the wall. And when I went to look for something fitting and proper, I came across a plaque that I had carved in 1980 of the Ten Commandments. And I thought that would be altogether fitting and proper in a court of law in the United States of America because our government, our laws, our Constitution are founded upon an Almighty God and the belief in a Supreme Being. Chuck Baldwin : And yet what controversy has followed. You have been enmeshed in controversy every since it became public knowledge that you hung the Ten Commandments. Why is there such controversy over hanging the Ten Commandments in a court of law? Judge Roy Moore Chuck Baldwin : How do you respond whenever a secularist says, "Judge Moore is violating the separation of church and state by acknowledging God?"

Bill Pryor's Shocking Comments
During Roy Moore's "Trial" By Chuck Baldwin The Covenant News ~ November 18 2003
Following up on my last column , it is extremely important that every American citizen read the exchange between Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor and Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore during Moore's trial. Since The Court of the Judiciary did not allow television cameras or recording devices in the courtroom, it is up to people like me to get the word out to the American people as to what Pryor said. The examination of Chief Justice Moore by Bill Pryor is shocking, to say the least. Here is a verbatim exchange between the two men taken from the official court transcript:
Pryor: Mr. Chief Justice? And your understanding is that the Federal court ordered that you could not acknowledge God; isn't that right?
Moore: Yes.
Pryor: And if you resume your duties as Chief Justice after this proceeding, you will continue to acknowledge God as you have testified that you would today -
Moore: That's right.

I don't have the titles yet for the specific LP, but research has

the time Roy was at Mercury. 1969-1975 .
A very brief synopsis of a very long and sucessful career....
Charles Edward Anderson Berry was born on October 18, 1926 at
2520 Goode Avenue (now Annie Malone Drive) in St. Louis, MO. His
mother, Martha, was qualified as a schoolteacher; his father, Henry, was a contractor and deacon of the nearby Antioch Baptist Church. The third of six children, he grew up in The Ville, an area just north of downtown St. Louis which was one of the few areas in the city where Blacks could own property. After growing up and delving into his love for music, on New Years' Eve, 1952, he was asked to join the Sir John's Trio. Adding showmanship and hillbilly music to the combo's savvy selection and Albert King for popularity in the St. Louis area.

"The Spirit Of Fear" Controls Many Christians
By Chuck Baldwin
Food For Thought From The Chuck Wagon
May 28, 2004 Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul instructed believers that "God hath not given us the spirit of fear" (II Tim. 1:7). Yet, "the spirit of fear" is exactly what many Christians demonstrate every time they vote for President of the United States. In fact, it is hard for me to recall a single presidential election when the "spirit of fear" has not been the overriding motivation for the way most Christians voted. And this same "spirit of fear" seems to be the motivating factor in the hearts of Christians again this election year. I well remember the 1996 presidential election. As a radio talk show host, I was inundated with Christian callers frantically lobbying me to support Bob Dole because of the "frightening" prospect of having four more years of Bill Clinton in the White House. The "spirit of fear" propelled millions of Christians to vote for Dole even though they knew that by doing so they were compromising many of their deeply held conservative convictions. As we all now know, in spite of Dole losing the election, America survived Clinton's second term, all the fear mongering notwithstanding. In fact, in many ways, the country fared better under the Clinton's second term than it is faring under the current administration.

As soon as he moved to Hollywood from New Hampshire in 1998, Chuck Roy picked up a co-starring role in an early episode of NBC’s directed by Jim Burrows. He closed out that season guest starring along with award winning actress Kathy Bates in the sweeps-week episode of NBC’s multiple Emmy winning show, 3rd Rock From the Sun . TV Guide wrote, "Kathy Bates is in rare form and Chuck Roy almost steals the show from her hulking son Ned." Meghhan Brennans from The Polytechnic commented on his 3rd Rock appearance, "Many People were visibly doubled over at times, including me."
He was also a performer in Bob Marley’s Comedy Showcase and Make Me Laugh on Comedy Central among other television appearances. You can also find Chuck in commercials for Sony Playstation, The Yellow Pages and as a voice for The Boston Globe.
After his debut at the 1999 Montreal Comedy Festival, top comedy markets quickly embraced Chuck’s stand-up routine. As a headliner, comedy club managers are raving at Chuck’s ability to build an instant following from radio’s DJs to the last customer on Sunday night, all with a smile and a good strong hug. Chuck has performed at a number of Comedy Clubs across the U.S. Not to mention that he accepted the 1998 Boston Music Award on behalf of Aerosmith. The producer of the Boston Music Awards, Candace Avery, even took the time to notice his funny nature, "Chuck stole the show!" He was also a featured Performer at the 1998 True Champion Awards and the 1998 Boston Sports Awards.

The 'brains' and 'action' heavies who had meaty roles and lots of dialog ... and the players who were fathers, ranch owners, lawman, mayors, judges, lawyers, storekeepers, newspaper editors, wardens, etc.
Le Roy Franklin Mason
A native of North Dakota, Le Roy Mason began his twenty year long film career in the late 1920s doing bits and minor supporting roles. His earliest roles appear to be in the Tom Tyler silent westerns for FBO (Film Booking Office). Mason's burly size led him to be typecast as a screen bad guy, and he was featured in oaters and cliffhangers from most of the major and minor production companies.
Mason was under a term player contract with Republic Pictures beginning July, 1943, and continuing through his death of a heart attack on October 13, 1947 while filming the Monte Hale western, CALIFORNIA FIREBRAND (Republic, 1948). This contract provided Mason with security and a regular paycheck, but it also allowed Republic to utilize him in a lot of films ... and they did. His film credits at Republic, from 1936-1947, number about 100 pictures, mostly cliffhangers and westerns. Les Adams has Mason identified in about 165 sound era films - of these, 111 are westerns and 13 are serials.
You may want go to the In Search Of ... page on the Old Corral, and then to the California Death Records database. There you will find a record for: Leroy Franklin Mason, born 7/2/1903 in North Dakota, Mother's maiden name of Nelson, passed away on 10/13/1947, and had a Social Security number of 364-16-0348.

The background color on this blog changes with the seasons of the church year. The season from Easter to Pentecost is also called the Great Fifty Days, a tradition inspired by the Jewish season of fifty days between Passover and Shavuot—the feast celebrating the giving of the Torah to Moses. The liturgical color for this season is celebratory White or Gold. When the season ends on Pentecost Sunday, White is replaced with Red. This color reminds the congregation of fire—the symbol of the Holy Spirit. On Pentecost the Holy Spirit overpowered the barriers of culture and race. The first Sunday after Pentecost celebrates the Trinity, and the color again is White or Gold. Click above to learn more.
