Home Il signore degli anelli le due torri Azione ed emozione L'azione si dipana lungo tre piani paralleli: Frodo e Sam, e Gollum (personaggio digitale) in strada verso Mordor; la cattura da parte degli Ent (alberi animati) degli hobbit Merry e Pipino; il resto della compagnia, Aragon, l'elfo Legolas e il nano Gimli, prima sulle tracce degli hobbit rapiti, poi nel regno di Rohan, dove un popolo fugge alla minaccia di un'armata di orchi comandata da Saruman. E' passato un anno, con tutto il concentrato di vita racchiuso nella convenzione dei giorni che si succedono ineluttabilmente, ma nella Terra di Mezzo il tempo si e' fermato ed e' finalmente giunto il momento di ricominciare l'avventura. "Le Due Torri" inizia esattamente dov'era finito il primo riuscito episodio: nessun riassunto della puntata precedente, secondo il volere di Peter Jackson che temeva un approccio televisivo, ma subito all'interno dell'azione per continuare il viaggio. Indubbio il talento visivo di Jackson e la quasi sovrumana capacita' di tenere sotto controllo una storia cosi' complessa e articolata, ma la obbligata frammentazione di questo secondo episodio limita per forze di cose il coinvolgimento. Ne "Le due torri", infatti, anche quando l'eroe e' solo contro mille nemici, o cade da una roccia a precipizio sul vuoto, siamo sicuri che in qualche modo ce la fara' e la possibilita' di anticipare la vittoria riduce la tensione emotiva. Nonostante una maggiore cupezza di insieme, una a volte inopportuna ironia (le solite battutine virili) stempera troppo le tinte. Lo stesso Frodo ha cedimenti nei confronti del potere dell'anello di prevedibile esito. In ogni caso, un grande spettacolo. C'e' chi ha visto nella determinazione alla guerra, alla base del film, una sorta di metafora dell'attuale situazione tra U.S.A. e Irak e in effetti ... ma per una volta evitiamo metafore, collegamenti e analisi delle intenzioni e lasciamoci trasportare, per quel che ci e' possibile, nell'epica avventura.

Home Il signore degli anelli di P.Jackson Con Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee Per chi fosse stato in una grotta negli ultimi mesi, dico solo che "Il signore degli anelli" e' l'evento cinematografico dell'anno. Tratto da un libro di culto, narra la storia della battaglia tra bene e male in un mondo popolato da elfi, nani, orchi, goblin e altre creature fantastiche, e tutto ruota intorno ad un anello di incommensurabile potere. Il film presenta solo la prima parte di questa storia, che si svilupperà in altre due pellicole per un totale di almeno 9 ore. Mi trovo nella situazione ideale per recensire "Il signore degli anelli": appassionato di Tolkien, ho letto il libro più volte una decina di anni fa, non ho quindi ricordi abbastanza precisi da rovinarmi il film con pretese filologiche, ma allo stesso tempo ho ben presente l'atmosfera e il coinvolgimento del romanzo. Proprio per questo trovo però difficile recensire il film senza fare riferimenti precisi a scene ed avvenimenti che vi accadono, per cui se non avete ancora visto (o letto) "Il signore degli anelli", e non volete anticipazioni, e' meglio che non proseguiate nella lettura. Il film e' probabilmente quanto di meglio si poteva realizzare dal testo di base, se escludono alcuni errori di non grossa portata:
