I have had this website developed for you my fans, so we can keep in contact every day of every hour throughout the year and not just at conventions. On the site you can find out all about me and my career in show business. For those of you who do not know me, I became famous for being the man inside the robot R2D2 in the Star Wars films. I have also appeared in numerous other films and television programs, most of the time playing dwarfs as I am only 3 foot 8 inches tall. If you are wondering what I am doing now I am living life to the full at home in England as well as traveling all over the world doing promotional work and attending Star Wars and Science fiction conventions. I have been cast to be in the 2nd and 3rd Star Wars films, I am waiting the call up for filming in Tunisia to begin. Jazz Trumpet Player Kenny Wheeler link to Kenny's gigs PRESS INFORMATION KENNY WHEELER TRUMPET FLUGELHORN COMPOSER Born Toronto Canada, 14 Jan 1930 After studying harmony and trumpet at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto (1950-51) he moved to London in 1952. He played in English dance bands, and while a member of John Dankworth's Boporchestra (1959-65) studied composition with Richard Rodney Bennett (1962-63) and Bill Russo (1963-64). With Dankworth's group he made a recording in 1968 of his own composition "Windmill Tilter", a suite inspired by Cervante's Don Quixote. He also played bop in small groups with Tubby Hayes (recording in 1966), Joe Harriott (recording in 1967) and Ronnie Scott (recording in 1968). Around this time he took an interest in free jazz, which he played with many important musicians and groups: the Spontaneous Music Ensemble (1966-70), Tony Oxley (1969-72), Anthony Braxton (at intervals from 1971 to 1973, regularly from 1974 to 1976), the Globe Unity Orchestra (from the early 1970's), the trio Azimuth (from 1976), which also included John Yaylor and Norma Winstone, Dave Holland (from around 1983), and his own small group and big band. He also played jazz-rock, in particular on recordings with Mike Gibbs (1969-75) and Bill Bruford (1977), and as a member of the United Jazz and Rock ensemble (from 1978). Although Kenny devotes much attention to composition and writes all of the material that he records as a leader, his work as a trumpeter and flugelhorn player is more important. His playing is well suited to what may be called the house style of the ECM record label; it is clear, relaxed, lyrical, and marked by a wide ranging harmonic and rhythmic imagination.

Music SAMMYS III Tributes and laughs galore at Syracuse Area Music Awards By The New Times Music Staff With Bobcat Goldthwait and Tom Kenny as masters of ceremonies, the 1996 Pilot Communications Syracuse Area Music Awards at the Landmark Theatre April 12 felt a little like a high-school assembly usurped by the class clowns. The irrepressible Goldthwait was particularly anarchic, as he dismantled and tore apart the "SAMMY" letters from the front of the presenters' podium, pulled down his trousers and razzed Syracuse's overweight morning disc jockeys. Kenny balanced Bobcat's physicality with a slightly more cerebral approach, for instance noting that ' performance of "Born to Be Wild" in tuxedos "seems to be a contradiction in terms." The hometown humor served several healthy purposes stressing the local nature of the awards while also relieving the understandable sense of gloom caused by the untimely death of Syracuse jazz keyboardist Larry Arlotta Awards showswhat can you do? They ramble on too long, but they continue to inspire, perplex and entertain. Like the Grammys, the Emmys and the Oscars, the Sammy Awards shows can be rewarding experiences in themselves, growing with native charm and appeal, offering many uniquely Central New York moments. While there were some slowdowns and inevitable technical snafus, the third Sammys gala offered a bit of everything: church service, pep rally, class reunion, prom night, comedy concert, music showcase, video documentary, confirmation, graduation and funeral all in one.
