Mel Blanc
Born in San Fransisco,California, on May 30, 1908,and died on July 10, 1989,in L.A.California,Mel Blanc set standards at Warner Bros. and later at Hanna-Barbera,repesctively with almost the whole Looney Tunes gang (except Sniffles,The Three Bears,Elmer Fudd,Michigan J.Frog,Granny,Witch Hazel,Miss Prissy,Petunia Pig,Cool Cat,and Merlin the Magic Mouse and supporting cast and even early versions of Porky and most of Roadrunner).
As we have seen others did voices, too, but Mel did most of them.He also did Woody for Walter Lantz before WB signed him up,in fact Mel created that laugh of Wood's originally for Daffy and Bugs. Daffy was based on Leon Schlesinger, the Warners cartoon boss, who talked with a listhp.(like me).Porky was a refurb of actor Joe DOugherty who really stuttered, Bugs was a funny tough cracking Bronx Brooklyn kid,Foghorn Leghorn and Yosemite Sam southern blowhards with Sam being from TExas,Speedy being..we.ll.a little Mexiacan cholo stereoptype, andSylvester being like Daffy only Daffy was always sped up-Syl;vester is close to Mel's voice.(I know.I've heards it.
At HB as Barney Rubble,he only went half way as Art Carney (per Joe Barbera's original request) on THE HONEYMOONERS,for THE FLINSTONES

Mel Blanc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Melvin Jerome Blanc May 30 July 10 ) was a famous American voice actor for Warner Brothers and Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Blanc's ability to create voices for multiple characters first attracted attention when he worked as a voice actor in radio . He was a regular on the Jack Benny Program in various roles, including Benny's automobile (a Maxwell in desperate need of a tune up), violin teacher Professor LeBlanc, Polly the Parrot, and Benny's pet polar bear Carmichael. Blanc also appeared on other national radio programs such as "Burns and Allen" as the Happy Postman, August Moon on "Point Sublime", Sad Sack on "G.I. Journal", Floyd the Barber on "The Great Gildersleeve", and later played various small parts on Benny's television show. Blanc's famous role on Benny's TV show was as "Si, the Mexican" in which he spoke one word at a time. The famous 'si-sy-sue' routine was so hilarious that no matter how many times it was performed, the laughter was always there. Another famous Blanc role on Jack's show was the Train Depot announcer who always said the phrase: "Train leaving on Track Five for Anaheim, Azuza, and Cucamonga". What made that phrase so funny was the spacing between Cuc and amonga. At times the spacing was a few seconds apart and other times the pause was so achingly drawn out that the listener sat in attention awaiting for Blanc to finally finish the "amonga" portion.

MASONIC BIOGRAPHIES FAMOUS FREEMASONS Mel Blanc May 30 1908 - July 10, 1989 Known as "the Man of 1,000 Voices," Melvin Jerome Blank was an accomplished bassist, violinist and sousaphone player. Early in his career he played in the NBC Radio Orchestra and conducted the pit orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre in Portland. A voice specialist from radio, movies and TV, Blanc was rarely seen by his audience although widely recognized as the voice of virtually every major Warner Brothers cartoon character except Elmer Fudd. Before Blanc joined the Warner studio in 1937 he had been the original voice of Woody Woodpecker. His on-screen appearances were rare, but he had amusing moments in Neptune's Daughter (1949), Champagne for Caesar (1950), and Kiss Me, Stupid (1964); he also provided offscreen voices for Strange Brew (1983). His autobiography, That's Not All, Folks! was published in 1988. Over the years, Blanc received many awards from civic organizations. Among them were the United Jewish Welfare Fund Man of the Year and the Show Business Shrine Club's first Life Achievement Award. One of Blanc's favored charities was the Shrine Hospital Children's Burn Center. Member:
