**For information about the Noyes family there are web sites located at: http://noyes.rootsweb.com and http://www.gencircles.com/users/noyes/1 Oak Hill Cemetery - Excelsior, Minnesota This cemetery is in fair shape. Much of the cemetery is situated around a large steep hill. At the top of this hill is a circular area with burials only in half of the area. Based upon the dates of death this section was opened much later than the main cemetery that surrounds the hill below this point. I suspect that the large Civil War statue which is situated in the newest area of this cemetery once stood upon the hill. This cemeteries burial monuments were transcribed in July 2001. The paper version of this cemetery transcription is not yet available for viewal. I claim and reserve any and all rights to the works that I have compiled and created. Lakeside Cemetery
Lakeside Cemetery, which nestles against Kingston Lake between Ninth Avenue and Lakewood Drive in Conway, is more than a century old. George Burroughs and John Benjamin Mayo, both infants, were buried there in 1869. These are the oldest tombstones which are legible, though there are at least two old wooden markers which are now weathered past any inscriptions which they might have once had. In 1903 Hal L. Buck was intendant (mayor) of Conway. According to the minutes for November 9 of that year, "Intendant reported he had seen Mrs. Addie Burroughs as to the Cemetery and she is willing to donate to the town 6 acres, and make conveyance to town for same as soon as same can be surveyed, provided town pay for rearranging fences and opening street to cemetery. Intendant instructed to take deed on terms named and that Mr. F. A. Burroughs be requested to have fencing done and render bill to town". The arrangements were completed and on June 13, 1904, an ordinance was passed making it the only place within the corporate limits in which bodies could be interred. The ordinance referred to it as the ''new cemetery for white persons'' and records show that separate negotiations were going on for a burial ground for Negroes. The adoption of this ordinance effectively closed the churchyards of Conway to future burials, though some few exceptions have occurred. Lots in Lakeside sold for as little as $5.00 and after its acquisition by the town records of those owning them were maintained by the Town Clerk. A map of the cemetery and lists of the owners of record of the plots are available in the City Hall. No lots have been sold since 1962 by the town, according to Miss Delores Beverly, present City Clerk, but information about those which are for sale by the owners is available. Miss Beverly has been most helpful in making available information included above.

The Quality of Sinhalese Military Competition
A Peep on the Power Elites of the Sri Lankan Army
In my chosen profession, i.e. natural sciences, an unpublished report or an unnamed source is given the same degree of credibility as that of a lecture by Bill Clinton on the worth of monogamy. Thus, I differ from other Pirabhakaran analysts in one criterion. Rather than relying heavily on ‘unnamed’ and ‘confidential’ sources which are unverifiable by an independent party, I depend strongly on scanning the published and public sources of information for my analysis, and assess the merit and weakness of such published material accordingly. Thus, it is opportune to present some published information on (and by) the men who had led the Sri Lankan army, to assess the quality of Pirabhakaran’s Sinhalese military competition. The Lanka Guardian of Dec.1, 1993 had a glaring pink-colored box with black border in its cover. That box carried the caption: ‘The Tiger War: Why Aren’t We Winning? Lt.General Denis Perera, Rear Admiral Basil Gunasekera, Air Vice-Marshal Harry Goonetilleke talk to Mervyn de Silva.” This post-mortem was held to analyze the Pooneryn [Poonagari] Army camp debacle. To digest the success of Pirabhakaran’s army, I provide below a lengthy segment of Mervyn de Silva’s questions and the responses of General Denis Perera and Air Vice Marshal Harry Goonetilleke:
