This listing of burials in a Colorado cemetery is a listing of only the burials where the headstone, or an associated marker, has an indication that the person belonged to one of the following organizations, or was a relative of the person who belonged to the organization. It is not meant to suggest that it is a complete listing of everyone buried in the cemetery, nor a listing of everyone from those organizations who is buried in the cemetery. For the most part the organizations began putting the identification on the tombstones in about 1880 and quit about 1935, though a few are occasionally seen with later death dates. Abbreviations WOW = Woodmen of the World MWA = Modern Woodmen of America Women = Women of Woodcraft Neigh = Neighbor of Woodcraft WC = Woodmen Circle SFWC = Supreme Forest Woodmen Circle * Upright stump.

    How they got here
    I picked up this ten volume set at Rockdale Christian Books
    Recommendation and Warning
    I consider bad theology.
    Where can I get them?
    I've had a few questions, but, unfortunately, I don't have any idea of where to purchase copies of any of the volumes. I had never heard of them prior to spotting them at the second hand bookstore and have never seen mention of them in any other context. As I mentioned earlier, mine came from Rockdale Christian Books
    Site design and navigation
    The current design of the site is in keeping with the look and feel of the books; this peculiar green is the colour of their covers (which look like this Below is the full list of sermons. This list can be found alongside each sermon so you shouldn't need to come back to this page unless you have trouble seeing the small type. indicates that the sermon is online;
    indicates that I thought it was a particularly good one.

    I'll be putting the sermons online as I get time, however, if you want to request a sermon please contact me and I'll get it up as soon as I can.

He was a Democratic representative in Congress in 1847-1851 and again in 1879-1883, governor of Maryland in 1884-1885, U.S. commissioner to China ~n 1853-1854, and minister to Mexico in 1859-1860 and to France in 1885-1889. He was almost entirely self-educated, and when a young man became a clerk in Edinburgh. In 1817, with others, he established the Scotsman newspaper in Edinburgh and at first acted as its editor. Offered a post as clerk in the custom house, he resigned his editorial position, resuming it in 1820, and resigning it again in 1845. In 820 Maclaren was made editor of the sixth edition of the Encyclopaedia . From 1864-1866 he was president of the Geological Society of Edinburgh, in which city he died on the 10th of September 1866. See Sir W. Robertson Nicoll, Ian Maclaren (1908).

    The names in the book were presented in "close-to" alphabetical order, meaning they were placed within the proper letter group. I've gone a step further and alphabetized the whole list. There are 979 burials listed here.

    On September 15, 1868 a petition was presented to the Board of Supervisors asking their aid in creating a new township, composed and described as the north half of township 24 north and the south half of township 25 north,
    range 8 east. It was further ordered the territory set off should be known as the township of Peach Orchard.
    In 1855 Joshua Nicholson planted a thousand peach trees on the southwest quarter of section 21, range 8 east. He had brought these trees from southern Illinois on a hayrack. This large peach orchard was cultivated for twelve years, when the trees died and were never replaced. This was how the township came to be named Peach Orchard Twp.
    Early settlers William Holmes, who plowed the first furrow, Joshua Nicholson, Elick Nicholson, Alexander Nicholson, were among the first settlers. Then in 1867 came John Iehl, John S. Hunt, James Dixon, George

    at Gallica (Bibliotecque Nationale de France)
    back to Malvaceae Pages (contents) A collection of 18th and 19th Century botanical literature is available in fascimile form at Gallica. This page is an index to those parts dealing with Malvaceae sensu APG of some of these documents. [It is incomplete. I haven't included every British or French flora, nor literature in German. I may have missed some other documents as well. Although not all documents can be found using the search facility at Gallica, searching for generic names (e.g. Lavatera Malva ), French vernacular names (e.g. mauve guimauve ), family names (e.g. Malvaceae ), etc may find additional documents.] Note that the indices are in terms of the names used in the documents, which in many cases do not correspond to modern usage. The boundaries of the various families which have been subsumed in Malvaceae sensu APG vary between documents, and many genera (e.g. Malva Sida ) have broader, sometimes much broader, circumscriptions than is currently the case. I have started indicating taxa no longer included in Malvaceae by striking them out, but this has not been done for all listed documents.
