Deputy Assistant Secretary Visits School in Brazil During a recent trip to Brazil, Dr. Lee Morin, a NASA astronaut and current Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Science, Space, and Health, visited a public school that is part of the Brazilian Space Agency's unique pilot school program. The program is designed to foster broader inclusion in the fields of science by developing scientific excellence within schools that serve economically disadvantaged populations. Dr. Morin fascinated the students with his stories about his life as an astronaut and particularly his space walk and visit to the International Space Station in 2002. [
