Shropshire Shakespeare project launches in style

Michael Wood, the BBC broadcaster whose recent successful television series followed the life of William Shakespeare, has launched a Shropshire-based project with a Shakespearean theme which will transform access to Shropshire's history.
The "Seven Ages of Man" project has converted information from 30,000 pages of archive catalogues and put them on a website, where they can be searched 24 hours a day. Shropshire Archives was the base for the project which involved archive services from across the West Midlands.
The theme of "Seven Ages of Man" reflects the fact that the information available covers all stages of life, from birth to death. Fascinating Shropshire facts include:
