Pencho Slaveykov's likeness appears on the obverse side of the banknote. The background includes detail fragments of the National Theatre and the National Library: institutions linked with the poet's artistic and public activity. Pencho Slaveykov (1866 - 1912) . His contribution to the convergence of Bulgarian to world letters make this poet, columnist, translator and literary critic on of Bulgaria's most enduring literary classics. His character and writings left a powerful and enduring impression on Bulgarian intellectual development. Major theme of the banknote's reverse side are Slaveykov's poems: the national epic "A Song of Blood", and a set of plates from his anthology "Epic Songs"; the facsimile shows a page of its first edition. The poet's intimate lyricism forms a second theme, represented by the "Dream of Joy" anthology, and a portrait of his great love - fellow poet Mara Belcheva. Background colour - brown.

All individually-listed practitioners speak English. When a tourist is in need of medical assistance, the receptionist of the hotel or the landlord of a private room can call a doctor from one of the local polyclinics. For an Ambulance, call 150. As in the big cities it may take up to 35 minutes (or more) for the ambulance to come. If there is a real emergency and you are in Sofia, call a taxi and ask to be taken to "Pirogov" (the best hospital for emergency cases). If you are outside of Sofia, call a taxi and ask to be taken to the emergency unit of the local regional hospital.

History of our school In 1909,the co-ed school of Tryavna was reorganized into the middle school “P.R.Slaveykov”. In 1922-1923, Primary and middle school were united and the name of the new school was T r yavna Primary School “P.R.Slaveykov”. Petko Rachev Slaveykov A center of patriotic ideas, our school educated Bulgarians, such as revolutionary Angel Kanchev,Iconpainter Tsanyo Zahariev, the poet Pencho Slaveykov and the first professor of organic chemistry PenchoNikolov Raykov. The beginning of the 19 th century was difficult for the development of education in our town. During the wars, which Bulgaria took in, the school was used as a hospital. At the end of 1944 the name of “P. R. Slaveykov” Primary School was changed. On 12.X.1944 an uncompleted six-grade high school was opened. On 18.XII.1945 the high school was completed. During1950-1951 the Primary School and Tryavna High-School were united into the National Co-ed School and in1953-1954 its name became the Complete General Education High School. Because of pedagogical mastery in 1956, the school won an award “Cyril and Methodius-first place”. From 1958 the school became an experimental polytechnic school. 1078 students attended 25 classes taught by 45 teachers. Fifteen of them had university a degrees. th anniversary of “P.R.Slaveykov” was given the prize of place National Republic of Bulgaria-1

BULGARIAN LITERATURE
Bulgarian literature does not have a smooth and uninterrupted development. The most significant period in its history lasted four centuries. On the other hand, however, the most prminent representatives of the Bulgarian literature were often preachers, spiritual and revolutionary leaders, advocates of the National Liberation, freedom and democracy. Bulgarian literature is felt to be an integrative part of the building the national consciousness, confidence and dignity. In the Middle Ages Bulgarian literature had already had a history of over a thousand years. The eleventh-century jubilee was recently celebrated of the special alphabet, called Glagolisa, which was used for the translation of the Gospel into Slavic. In 863 the clergyman Constantine the Philosopher, whose secular name was Cyril , was assigned by the Byzantine authorities to spread the sacred Byzantine books to Moravia in the language of its native population. In 869 after Cyril's death, his brother Methodius continued his noble task. The alphabet named after Cyril was a later revision of
