Newton Press Friday, February 28, 1913 Mrs. Samuel Jayne Mrs. Samuel Jayne, formerly a resident of this place, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lola Lynch, in St. Louis, Monday. The remians were brought here yesterday at noon and funeral services were held in the afternoon at the Christian church, conducted by Eld. Whitaker. Miss Amanda Ingraham was born in Ingraham, Ill., December 29, 1852, died February 17, 1913, aged 60 years, 1 month and 19 days. She was married to Samuel Jayne in 1870 and they were parents of eight children, Lilburn O. Jayne, of Wynn, Ark., Mrs. Nora Trexler, of Newton, Ill., Mrs. Lottie Beaman, Wynn, Ark., Mrs. Bertha Cook, Noble, Ill., Mrs. Marie Pratt, St. Louis, Mrs. Lola Lynch, St. Louis, Clinton B. Jayne, Twisp, Wash., and one died at the age of two years. There are also eleven grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Lollar, of Wynn, Ark., and Mrs. Elizabeth Dickory, of Ingraham, and other relatives who mourn her death. She united with the Church of Christ when quite young and lived faithful until death. She spent many years in the service of her Master, who will reward her for the work done. We hope her departure here means one to heaven's number and that she, her husband and children may some day be reunited in heaven.
