RAP SUCKS Question: What is music? Answer: Webster's dictionary says music is the "art of the rhythmic combination of tones, vocal or instrumental, embracing melody and harmony especially when pleasing to the ear. Question: What is Rap? Answer: Rap is not music. It does not use any musical instruments. Unlike all other conventional music generes there is no special instrument associated with Rap. Rap does not embrace melody or harmony and it certainly is not pleasing to the ear. Question: What is the reality of Rap? Answer: "It doesn't take any talent to "do" Rap music. Rappers don't sing at all, but instead they stand there waving their arms in their oversized clothes, most of which are spacious enough to carry 13 semiautomatic weapons. They talk (not sing) and try to act tough like they are trying to scare someone. The background consists of distorted bass which seems the same in every song. A rap song is a 3 second sampled clip repeated over and over for the length of the song. The combination of the base and trying to talk tough yield an awful sounding song that is so bad that I would rather listen to a vacuum." I have no respect for people who sit in 17 year old 31 foot long "boat" cars which are bouncing up and down on hydraulics, waving their arms up and down, and ranting on about the ghetto. Some fans of Rap call it Hip Hop... Well all rappers should hip hop on down to the music store and learn how to play some instruments. I challenge any rapper to listen to The Smashing Pumpkins or the Presidents of the United States of America and experience the variety of talents that they perform. Rappers don't sing and the don't play instruments. They don't show any talent and thus I dare any rapper to claim his "music" has any musical value what-so-ever. Word to Coolio, take a music class or two.

The Public Papers of the Presidents, which is compiled and published by the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration, began in 1957 in response to a recommendation of the National Historical Publications Commission. Noting the lack of uniform compilations of messages and papers of the Presidents before this time, the Commission recommended the establishment of an official series in which Presidential writings, addresses, and remarks of a public nature could be made available.
