The Stanley Lieberman Memorial Collection of American Juvenile Literature A Checklist Compiled by Bruce Jay Wasser (Princeton University Library. Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. 1969) How to use this checklist Each title in the Lieberman Collection is represented by a separate entry in the following checklist, and, sometimes, by cross (or X) references as well. The following sample entry
Author Title Call number Adams, William Taylor 1822-1897 Always In luck, By Oliver Optic. In the Argosy. Vol. XV, 1892-1893, pp. 155-356. Blue illus. Cloth. XV Alger, Horatio, 1832-1899. Chester Rand. May be interpreted thus: William Taylor Adam’s Always in Luck , written under the pseudonym Oliver Optic, appears in The Argosy , Volume XV, which is bound in the blue illustrated, cloth-covered boards. This volume also contains Horatio Alger’s Chester Rand , and an entry for Chester Rand is also to be found in this checklist in its proper alphabetical place within the listing of Alger’s novels and stories. The number 115 is the shelf or call number for the volume described, and should be cited as (Lieberman 115) in placing a request to have the book retrieved from the stacks. Since this checklist is only a guide to the Lieberman Collection and not a detailed bibliographical accounting, entries are brief, and no attempt has been made to conform to principles of formal bibliographic description. Generally, however, standard terms have been used in describing bindings, with the exception of the use of "paperback" and "illus. Paperback" which have been employed consistently in preference to the terms "wrapper" and "illus. wrapper."

PREFACE This is a draft plan designed to solicit comments from Town officials and the general public. This version does not include any of the maps, although there are references to them throughout the text. The final version will also include an Implementation Table in which the recommendations will be listed along with the name of a board, commission or department that should take the lead role in implementing that recommendation as well as others that should be involved. INTRODUCTION Statement of Purpose A common vision facilitates decision-making for everyone Town and State officials as well as developers and private landowners. This 2001 Update of the 1995 plan is intended to help provide that vision. This plan has been prepared on a regional basis because natural and recreational resources do not end at Town boundaries. Coordination and cooperation in planning may lead to improved resource management and enhancement of recreational opportunities. It should also be noted that while this regional plan focuses on Bellingham, Blackstone and Franklin, efforts to coordinate open space and recreation planning with other towns in the region are also strongly encouraged.
