Trinity is the largest and richest of the colleges in Cambridge, and is now a home to around 600 undergraduates, 300 graduates, and over 160 Fellows. The college was founded by Henry VIII in and most of its major buildings date from the and centuries. Trinity was formed by combining Michaelhouse and King's Hall , two older colleges. Michaelhouse had existed since ; King's Hall had been established by Edward II in and refounded by Edward III in Much of the college was re-designed and re-built by Thomas Nevile , who became Master of Trinity in . This work included the construction of Nevile's Court between Great Court and the river Cam . The Court was completed in the late 17th century when the Wren Library , designed by Sir Christopher Wren , was built.

    Biography
    Possibly the greatest of all residents on the Phillimore Estate. English historian and author, born Leicestershire, educated at Cambridge. After the success of his essay on Milton in the Edinburgh Review (Aug., 1825), he contributed regularly to that journal. He was called to the bar in 1826 and, elected to Parliament in 1830, distinguished himself as a Whig orator. His speeches were among the greatest ever delivered in Parliament. East India Company he reformed the Indian educational system and composed a legal code for the areas of direct Company rule. He also had a profound effect on Indian education , and ensured that the language of government and law and education in India should be English. T he History of England from the Accession of James the Second Critical and Historical Essays (1844), which remained a best seller into the 20th century. His poetical work, the Lays of Ancient Rome (1842), celebrated the great events of Roman history.
