NUMBER: QUOTATION: It is not surprising that the motion picture relies to a considerable extent on devices borrowed from the theatre. There are many superficial points of resemblance between the two arts. Films are shown in auditoriums which do not differ in any marked degree from other playhouses. Stage actors perform in films. Stage training is still regarded as a fairly satisfactory prerequisite for appearance before the camera. Actors, directors, and writers move from stage to screen with comparative ease and with what seems to be minor adjustments of their techniques and methods. It is often customary to draw a stage curtain back and forth to mark the beginning and end of the drama projected on the screen within the proscenium arch.

Maggie Lawson plays Liz , the young woman in love with Bobby . It s importantfor them to be right. John Benjamin Hickey plays Philip one of Liz dads.

Culture Shock is always good for a sit com. The beliefs of one side conflicting with the other side. In this instance, a couple becomes engaged, and his old fashioned family looks askance at the girl who has two gay fathers. It's from the creators of "Frasier". It's tastefully done, respecting both sides, and finding each side has lessons to learn to come together for a meeting of the minds. I enjoyed the first show, and look forward to seeing how it evolves. Reid Scott Maggie Lawson Lenny Clark place "Mace O'Neill" Bobby's father. He was born in 1953 in Boston, Mass. He was recently on "The Job" with Denis Leary and is a standup comedian. Clark was born in the year of the Snake. They tend to be very sensitive and don't take criticism very well, just or unjust. It's important for them to be right. John Benjamin Hickey plays "Philip" one of Liz' dads. He was born on June 25, 1963 in Plano, Texas. He has a Cancer Sun and Leo moon. This is much like Reid Scott's dilemma. Cancer is sensitive and shy and pulls into himself, while Leo wants to star....Mercury and Venus are together in Gemini, which indicates he has a fast mind, fast reflexes....and sometimes the desire to 'get outta town' when pressures build up. Playing a gay father, his Cancer sun comes into play. While most people assume the neatness, etc., belong to Virgo, actually this comes up in Cancer. Cancer relates to the Cat in the Chinese expression, and one can see how a cat has a haughty exterior, is always cleaning itself and never finding it near clean enough. Some Cats roam but always come home. He was born in the Year of the Snake, and we've covered that above.
