I'm Todd Grigsby. This page is my personal web page. The views expressed here are mine alone. I reserve the right to say whatever the hell I want on this page. This right is protected by THE FIRST AMENDMENT . If you see something here that offends you, you may protest by clicking on the "comments" link at the bottom of this page and sending me a mail message describing your grievance. I'm flexible and open-minded, so if your argument is reasonable and logical, I'll consider it.
A Quick Intro: First and foremost, I'm a husband and father, with pictures of the family online (click here to email me for the URL). I am currently the President of Todd Grigsby Enterprises (what else?). We make case management and fiduciary software, bug tracking software, and Point Of Sale (POS) software. And, of course, all this software uses the latest web application and Windows development tools, since most of it was originated by yours truly. I have my resume on the web because, frankly, the economy is killing my business. Either I'll get a job and hang this up or the economy will recover and I'll ride the wave. It's a roll of the dice. I specialize in Java+JSP+Struts and Delphi, but my skills list is too long to list here. Check my resume for more details.

The high is lowered and the low is raised.
If the string is too long, it is shortened;
If there is not enough, it is made longer.
The Way of the Library is to take from those who have enough

The Ancient art of Placement
"The ten thousand things carry yin and embrace yang.
By combining these forces harmony is achieved"
Lau Tzu

Feng means "wind" and symbolizes the unseen forces that structure and influence our world. Shui means "water." It represents the seen forces structuring and affecting our world. Together these seen and unseen energies make up our life experience. Feng Shui is the ancient Art and Science that attempts to recognize and utilize these energies to improve and illuminate the quality of our lives.
"When there is light in the soul,
there is beauty in the person;
When there is beauty in the person,
there is harmony in the home;
When there is harmony in the home;
there is honor in the nation;
When there is honor in the nation, there is peace in the World."
-Chinese proverb Feng Shui Today: A constant, reciprocal effect exists between any environment and its inhabitants. Our personal environmentæ reflects how we presently feel and think; and our present environment will greatly effect how we choose to feel and think in the future. By recreating our environments we recreate our personal energies allowing for completely new experiences to be attracted into our life. A Feng Shui consultation begins with a personal interview where together we clarify the goals and intentions for your home or workplace. In my practice of Feng Shui, I employ many techniques but emphasize the ancient Chinese 5 Element Theory, using the archetypical energies of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal with the parameters of yin and yang to create a balanced, beautiful, healthy personal environment.

Opinion What Unites America with Islam We Americans see terrorism as a symptom of problems within the Islamic religion and the Arab and Islamic cultures generally. We have become fairly expert about what is wrong with them, and have yet to ask ourselves, “Is their culture and their religion the only one that has gone wrong?” It is time we do ask – for so long as we persist in seeing the problem as theirs alone, the solution will elude us. America and Islam are convulsed today in a Jihad of unprecedented proportions. But it has nothing to do with Islamic terrorism or the arrogant exercise of American power. Underneath all that is a Jihad that is real. It’s not making headlines or entering into the calculations of either side. Yet it will carry the day. Quietly, one person at a time, a wave is building that started at a glacial pace before the dawn of recorded history and picked up momentum several thousand years ago. It’s documented in the ancient Hindu epics, the Buddhist sutras, the Bible, and the Koran. Lau Tzu wrote about it in China; Ralph Waldo Emerson in Concord, Massachusetts. One man at a time, over the millennia, has taken on his self in battle.

Lake Stevens High School
Welcome ... again ... to the graduation of the class of 2002 ... and a congratulations to you class ... you deserve it. First of all ... thank you class ... I am honored to be chosen to speak tonight and I am truly honored to have been able to spend these last four years ... with all of you. The day has finally arrived. It is June 7th, 2002 ... 7 p.m. It is so hard to believe that this is the day that we have been counting down to for the last few months. This is supposed to be the end of the beginning, the first day of the rest of our lives ... we all seem so set with our future and we seem so sure of exactly what it will foretell. However, regardless of how mature we may think we are ... we are not. We are still so young and new. We have so much to learn. So much more note-taking to take. So many more halls to walk and so many more people to meet. So very few allowed sick days to take. We have so much more space to make mistakes ... but also ... we have the space to correct them. We may be out of the building, friends, but we will be taught and tested for decades to come ... but this time in life. The memories of tonight and these last four years will soon be added with new memories, new friends, new jobs, new loves and relationships, and most important will be a new you. Maybe in the next few years you will be a mom ... or dad, but just maybe you will never have kids. Maybe you will start a career right out of high school, but maybe you will go to school ... hey maybe you will go to school for the rest of your life. But whatever we may become, we can all remember that these last four years have demanded patience ... and have demanded time. The last four years has offered an education ... the last four years has offered friends. The last four years has given a beginning ... but at the same time has given an end. Together we have all endured the loss ... it could have been the loss of a friend ... or it could have been the loss of a classmate ... but with that loss ... we have all provided comfort for one another. The last four years has given us a past.

The Eagle Claw Story
The roots of Eagle Claw reach far back in Chinese history to the Shaolin temple of Northern China, founded during the Sung Dynasty it has travelled down through the ages reaching the 20th century in its entirety.
A blend of three ancient kung fu styles, Eagle Claw is a classical system of Kung Fu, a complete and rounded system, encompassing increasingly difficult free hand set, martial tumbling, gymnastic routines, and numerous weapons.
Master Gini Lau is the daughter of the late Great Grand Master Lau Fat Mang, a famous Eagle Claw Master and honored war hero from China, who was probably one the greatest Eagle Claw exponents of this century.
Today's Eagle Claw descends directly from three systems of Northern Kung Fu, the first being Chin'na (joint locking) developed by the famous General Yueh Fei (1103 - 41) of the Sung Dynasty. The General Yueh Fei although not himself a product of Shaolin Temple was extensively trained by the Shaolin Priest Jao Tung.
During the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) one of the great periods of Chinese cultural history, a Shaolin martial monk named Li Chun famous for his abilities in Faan Tzu (martial tumbling). Li Chun chanced upon a demonstration of
