Ryan Hemphill and Hemphill Racing hope to see their ASA efforts advance this weekend with their own trip to the 'Country Music Capital of the World'. In the Hemphill's last race, the Actionline 300 at Montgomery Motor Speedway, he led eighteen laps before brake problems forced his retirement from the event. Having been to Nashville Speedway USA before in Legacy cars, some basic track knowledge will most definitely help the team get up to speed this weekend. "I have a lot of confidence. We haven't been the greatest in all the other races. We think we found a bunch of stuff wrong, which is really good for us. Usually when we find something wrong we end up doing pretty well," said Hemphill. "Being there in a Legacy car, it was like a superspeedway in those cars. But it'll be just another short track in these ASA cars. I didn't really run the greatest at all when I was there, so that wasn't good. But I'm always optimistic about every track I go to and usually do pretty well." Nashville has always been a track that is difficult to find a consistent setup for. When the NASCAR Busch Series ran at the facility, it was not uncommon to see some of the major teams struggle to gain the handle on the track. This being ASA's second visit in the spec engine and radial tire era, as well as the first night race since the introduction of the ASA Vortec 5700 and BFGoodrich Traction T/A Radials, there will not be much for the experienced teams to draw on in terms of notes. But more than likely, the track's characteristics will remain the same.

Perhaps for this reason shorebird and waterfowl migrations were lower than normal. Warblers were present in good variety, but numbers were fairly low. Vireos were low in both number and variety. Sparrows were fairly scarce this fall as well. Fall hummingbirds were present in good numbers in the Lubbock and Amarillo areas. Heard in the Court of Appeals 19 April 2004. Attorney General Roy Cooper, by Assistant Attorney General Diane Martin Pomper, for the State. McCULLOUGH, Judge. Defendant testified that he was inside the Taco Bell when Hemphill and Pooh initiated the robbery. Defendant further stated that when he exited the restaurant and observed the robbery in progress, he attempted to leave the scene, but Hemphill and Pooh got into the car while he waited to pull into traffic. Defendant presented the testimony of Darius Givens, an employee at Taco Bell, to support his testimony. Givens stated that defendant was inside the restaurant initially, but left a short time before Tiffany Lampley returned to the restaurant to report the robbery. Lampley, however, testified that defendant participated in the robbery. Lampley knew defendant because he was her friend's boyfriend. Desmond Smothers and Dallas Caraway also indicated that all three occupants of defendant's car were involved in the armed robbery. Finally, codefendant Hemphill testified that defendant was involved in the 19 May 2001 robbery of the occupants of the car driven by Desmond Smothers.

I used a divide- and-conquer multiply routine, hand coded in 68020 assembly language It was capable of multiplying two 1.25+ million digit numbers in about 20 minutes on an HP 9000/370 (a 25MHz 68030?). The computation took a little over three days, at which point I had the answer in *binary*. :-( The binary to decimal conversion was no simple task. I checked my results by performing the same calculation to 2.5+ million digit precision, (9 days) and compared the binaries. The only independent check has come from David Bailey, whose results agree with mine to at least
