CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
We have chosen the color of green vomit for this cult. Christian Science is like grape nuts neither grapes nor nuts. I would say though that someone has to be nuts to go for this trash. The cult was started by Mary (Baker) Eddy Glover Patterson (Fry) a four time loser at marriage. Never mind her followers think that this kind of failure is actually a strength. The cult has been failing slowly in recent years, and its TV and radio voice is dwindling. The Christian Science Monitor is perhaps the single most God hating newspaper in the world, and it exalts all manner of Communist and socialist activity. It is needed that we include this pagan religion though, since there are so many folks who give it dignity. We will do everything possible to expose its puerile and blasphemous stench charitably of course. :-)
MARY BAKER EDDY GLOVER PATTERSON (FRY)
Theme song of Christian Science is "Looney Tunes Theme." Why? Answer: Mary Bake Eddy spent her last years in a state of looney mental chaos. She had to be locked in a crib by her husband every night when she went to bed. There, in her looney wonderland, she contemplated the power of positive insanity. Here is the official brief history of this lady according to the Christian Science sources: Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910), the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, is widely recognized outside her Church as probably the most remarkable religious figure of modern times.

General beliefs Christian Science is founded on the belief that through study of the bible and right living, one can rediscover the healing power that Jesus used. Known as the First Church of Christ, Scientist, it was founded in Boston in 1876 by Mary Baker Eddy. It is based on the belief that one maintains a healthy mind and body through study of God (the all loving Father-Mother) as the only reality of existence. Evil and illness can be overcome through the maintenance of a healthy mind and body. Churches are in over 74 countries. The term "Christian Science," as defined by the founder, Mary Baker Eddy. She wrote, "The term CHRISTIAN SCIENCE was introduced by the author to designate the scientific system of divine healing. The revelation consists of two parts: 1. The discovery of this divine Science of Mind-healing, through a spiritual sense of the Scriptures and through the teachings of the Comforter, as promised by the Master. 2. The proof, by present demonstration, that the so-called miracles of Jesus did not specially belong to dispensation now ended, but that they illustrated an ever-operative divine Principle" (

Mary Baker Eddy exhibit scheduled at New Mexico State University Library
A touring exhibit telling the life story of 19th century thinker and reformer Mary Baker Eddy will be installed at the New Mexico State University Library in October. The exhibit, titled “‘This is woman’s hour …’ The Life of Mary Baker Eddy,” will be available for public viewing on the second-floor balcony of Branson Library Oct. 1-12. Created by The Writings of Mary Baker Eddy organization of Boston, the exhibit is a smaller version of a large multi-media exhibit that was first shown at the Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, N.Y. The large exhibit, being shown in September and October at New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, has been traveling throughout the United States since 1998. Mary Baker Eddy lived 1821-1910. She was part of the women’s reform movement challenging mainstream thinking in regards to health-care and religion, and proved through her life that a woman could be a thinker and an entrepreneur. She is best known for founding The Christian Science Monitor and as the author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. The exhibit portrays Eddy as a healer, thinker and reformer. Her unexpected recovery from an accident provided the impetus for her pioneering work in mind-body healing. As a thinker, along with certain other women of her generation such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton, she questioned the subordinate role of women in American society. As a reformer, she lectured, published, and founded a church, a college and a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper.

Thoreau ) who made their influence widely felt through books, magazines and newspaper articles. "Christian Science founded in the little town of Lyn, MA in 1815 by Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy. Yet when we read i n texts of Science and Health up to the 33rd edition there are quotations from the sacred Hindu text The Bhagavad Gita as well as allusions by Mrs. Eddy to Hindu philosophy. These were omitted in later editions, causing modern-day Christian Scientists to be unaware that their founder gleaned from Hindu philosophy."

Mary Baker Glover Eddy
Founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist, and author of its textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Born Mary Morse Baker, she was reared in a devout Congregationalist home, but later rejected her parents' strict Calvinism. Although her formal education was limited due to chronic ill health, she studied such subjects as natural science, moral philosophy, logic, Greek, and Hebrew under the tutelage of her brother, a Dartmouth graduate. In 1843 she married George W. Glover, who died before the birth of their first child. Her second marriage, to David Patterson (1853), ended in divorce. In 1877 at age fifty-six she married one of her first Christian Science students, Asa Gilbert Eddy. Suffering poor health throughout most of her life, Mary was preoccupied with questions of health. In search of healing she submitted herself to the metaphysical teachings of Phineas P. Quimby and was healed. Suffering a serious fall in 1866, she was healed by reading the Bible and practicing metaphysical principles. She regarded that incident as the discovery of Christian Science. Her metaphysical system gradually evolved and was published as Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures in 1875. Although her followers consider this work as divinely inspired, her critics contend that it is deeply indebted to the works of Francis Lieber and Quimby. The following year she founded the Christian Scientist Association, which three years later became the Church of Christ, Scientist.

Spirituality and Health
Mary Baker Eddy 1821-1910
One of the most innovative thinkers of her time, Mary Baker Eddy became an author, public speaker, pastor, and founder of a new church and daily newspaper. All this she accomplished after the midpoint of her life.
From childhood Eddy suffered poor health. Conventional medicine offered no relief. She investigated alternative healing therapies and became fascinated by the role of the mind in curing the body. In 1875 she published Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which detailed her system of healing. Currently, her approach of integrating healing, spirituality, and science is experiencing renewed interest.
By the end of the 19th century, Eddy was one of the most famous authors in the United States. She had challenged conventional thinking in theology, medicine, and science, and she had gained an international following. Today, the Christian Science Church has 2,000 branches and still publishes the Christian Science Monitor.

MARY BAKER EDDY
In her autobiography, Retrospection and Introspection, she recorded the "experiences which led her, in the year 1866, to the discovery of the system that she denominated Christian Science" ( Science and Health, p. viii). Childhood and Background
Mary Baker Eddy's Birth Place Both on the paternal and maternal side, the future Discoverer of Christian Science was descended from members of the Congregational Church. At an early age the question of her joining the church presented itself, but she showed opposition to the decree of predestination as taught in the Congregational church. In spite of her stout declaration of disbelief in this, she was nevertheless admitted. She states in her autobiography

Eddy, Mary Baker Eddy, Mary Baker, , founder of the Christian Science movement, b. Bow, N.H. As physical frailty prevented her regular school attendance, she spent the early part of her education learning at home from her brother Albert Baker. She later attended Holmes Academy at Plymouth and Sanbornton Academy. At a young age she published poetry and prose in periodicals. Widowed six months after her marriage to George W. Glover and responsible for their child (also named George W. Glover), she spent nine years among relatives, teaching at times and often in ill health. Married in 1853 to Daniel Patterson, a dentist, she lived in the country for some time, and later moved to Lynn, Mass. Having heard of the success in mental healing of Phineas Parkhurst Quimby , she went in 1862 to Portland, Maine. She received benefit from his treatment and became his pupil, but began to harbor doubts about Quimby's concept of mind as spiritual matter and his hostility to religion. In 1866 she separated from her husband; she later (1873) obtained a divorce. The year 1866 marks the actual beginning of Christian Science as she apprehended it. In the ensuing years, she refined the doctrine and plans for her new church. In 1875, she published the textbook of Christian Science
