Access : There are no restrictions on access to this collection. Biographical Information: Edward Everett Hale (1822-1909) was born in Boston, MA, educated at the Boston Latin School and Harvard College, and later studied theology. He was minister of the Church of the Unity in Worcester, MA from 1846-1956, and minister at the Boston South Congregational Society from 1856-1899. He is the author of "The Man Without a Country" as well as seventy other stories and several novels. Scope and Content: Collection consists of Hale's correspondence, biographical material about him and his family, and correspondence dealing with several colleges, such as Antioch College, Wade College, Wilberforce College, and Humboldt College.
