En 1628, il est définitivement libéré et, protégé par le Pape Urbain VIII, il est nommé maître en théologie. En 1634, craignant une nouvelle arrestation à cause du complot d’un de ses élèves contre le roi de Naples, Campanella s’exile à Paris et devient le conseiller de Richelieu. Il y publie, sans grand écho, Philosophia realis (1637) et Metaphysica et Philosophia rationalis (1638). Il meurt en 1639 au couvent du faubourg Saint-Honoré. 2. Ma chi volesse acquistarla non può e deve comperare l'intera collana "Cento libri per Mille anni" Il mondo degli uomini visto dagli occhi di un cavallo è un esempio di straniamento. Ce l'ha insegnato Viktor Sklovskij , uno degli esponenti più interessanti del formalismo russo. Qui sta, secondo lui, uno dei segreti della letteratura: nella sua capacità di farci vedere di nuovo ciò che ci stava sotto gli occhi, logorato dalla consuetudine. Il testo letterario può costruire per noi un punto di vista diverso: quel che ci era familiare può diventare così assurdo, oppure pieno di fascino. C'è un poeta poco frequentato della nostra letteratura che ci dà, dello straniamento, esempi di incredibile forza: è Tommaso Campanella Nicola Badaloni ripercorre con passione e lucidità le varie fasi del pensiero di Campanella, descrivendo i modi diversi in cui cerca di mantenere viva la speranza del cambiamento. I testi sono curati, con la consueta competenza e finezza, da Germana Ernst . Un bellissimo libro, insomma, che ripropone testi affascinanti e troppo dimenticati. Ma se vi viene voglia di comprarlo, incominciano i problemi. Non lo trovate in libreria, e per di più, se proprio lo volete, dovete comprare anche tutti gli altri volumi della collana. Questo può andar bene a chi ha oltre ai soldi, molto spazio in casa sua, oppure a chi compra i libri a metro, e in effetti qui troverà che i dorsi delle rilegature sono eleganti e di un caldo colore marrone. E ancora: è utopia pensare a un'edizione economica delle poesie che permetta di capirle e di gustarle? Oppure la letteratura, a cominciare da quella italiana, è ormai considerata inutile e forse dannosa? Il sospetto viene, dato che la si cerca a fatica nelle nuove norme per la scuola e per l'università, in mezzo agli universi della "lingua" e della "cultura".

He is head over all, in temporal and spiritual matters, and all business anti lawsuits are settled by him as the supreme authority. To POWER belongs the care of all matters relating to war and He attends to the military arts, and, next to Hoh, he is ruler in every affair of a warlike nature. He governs the military magistrates and the soldiers, and has the management of the munitions, the fortifications, to storming of places, the implements of war, the armories, the smiths and workmen connected with matters of this sort. On the interior wall of the first circuit all the mathematical figures are conspicuously paintedfigures more in number than Archimedes or Euclid discovered, marked symmetrically, and with the explanation of them neatly written and contained each in a little verse. There are definitions and propositions, etc., etc. On the exterior convex wall is first an immense drawing of the whole earth, given at one view. Following upon this, there are tablets setting forth for every separate country the customs both public and private, the laws, the origins and the power of the inhabitants; and the alphabets the different people use can be seen above that of the city of the sun. On the inside of the second circuit, that is to say of the second ring of buildings, paintings of all kinds of precious and common stones, of minerals and metals are seen; and a little piece of the metal itself is also there with an apposite explanation in two small verses for each metal or stone. On the outside are marked all the seas, rivers, lakes, and streams which are on the face of the earth; as are also the wines and the oil, and the different liquids, with the sources from which the last are extracted, their qualities and strength. Where are also vessel built into the wall above the arches, and these are full of liquids from one to three hundred years old, which cure all diseases. Hail and snow, storms and thunder, and whatever else takes place in the air, are represented with suitable figures and little verses. Capo della polizia municipale dopo il 1848. Sostenne la politica di L. Napoleone e il colpo di stato. Come prefetto di polizia si distinse per le sue azioni provocatorie verso le masse (seguite da movimenti di protesta), come l'abbattimento degli alberi della libertà e l'allontanamento delle corone di semprevivi dalla colonna commemorativa dei morti della Bastiglia, delle rivoluzioni del 1830 e del 1848. Carnot Lazare-Hippolyte Pubblicista e uomo politico francese, repubblicano moderato; nel 1848 ministro della pubblica istruzione del governo provvisorio, deputato all'Assemblea nazionale costituente.
