dr. Martin ŽNIDERŠIÈ, (FF – Oddelek za bibliotekarstvo, Ljubljana) "Bibliofilstvo" Bibliofilstvo ali "ljubezen do zbiranja knjig", je tema o kateri se pri nas ne govori pogosto. In vendar - èe posežemo nazaj v zgodovino - so mnoge današnje svetovno znane knjižnice nastale iz zbirk zagnanih bibliofilov, tudi vladarjev, ki so svoje dragocene zbirke rokopisov in knjig podarjali ustanovam, kjer so postale dostopne javnosti. Pojem bibliofilstvo je zelo širok: bibliofili imajo najrazliènejše okuse in navadno zbirajo knjige in druge publikacije, tudi letake, razglednice, periodiène publikacije itd. v okviru neke zaokrožene tematike. Zelo pomembna je pri bibliofilstvu ohranjenost knjig, zlasti starejših. Bibliofili so redni obiskovalci antikvariatov in knjižnih avkcij, kjer pridobivajo novosti za svoje zbirke. Slovenci slovimo po tem, da imamo radi lepo knjigo. Tudi to je en odtenek bibliofilstva, saj knjiga ni le uporabni predmet, ampak ponuja tudi s svojo zunanjostjo estetsko zadovoljstvo. V prispevku bo opisan razvoj bibliofilstva v svetu in pri nas, orisane bodo njegove znaèilnosti v zgodovini in danes. Predstavljeni bodo nekateri veliki svetovni bibliofili, npr. Richard de Bury (1287 - 1345), pa tudi naši, kot Žiga Zois, Rudolf Maister in Janez Milèinski. Ljubezen do zbiranja knjig je danes sicer v svetu bolj razvita kot pri nas, vendar tudi Slovenci premoremo nekaj resnih zbiralcev, ki se z veliko ljubeznijo in zagnanostjo pa tudi s finanènimi žrtvami, ukvarjajo s svojimi plemenitimi konjièki.
