Jonathan Hoar, all of Massachusetts. Daughter of Edwin Morse and Abigail Mason Clay Goodhue, his wife. Granddaughter of Benjamin Morse and Betsey Hoar, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Jonathan Hoar and Sarah Heard, his wife; Reuben Morse and Abigail Mason, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Richard Heard and Sarah Fiske, his wife; Josiah Hoar and Mary Walker, his wife. Richard Heard represented Middlesex county in the first Provincial Congress. He served as a minute man at Lexington and Bunker Hill. He died at Sudbury in 1792. Reuben Morse was ensign at the battle of Bennington. Josiah Hoar, who had fought in the early wars, served in the militia until his death in 1779. Jonathan Hoar turned out at the Lexington Alarm and was lieutenant in the Ticonderoga campaign.
