JOHN KITTLE(6) 1807-1849 John Kittle was born, married, lived and died in Randolph Co., VA, the oldest son of William Pugh. He married at the age of 25, Sarah K. "Sally" Stalnaker, daughter of Andrew Stalnaker and Catherine Marteney and first cousin to his Uncle Robert's first wife. He and Sally would have 7 children, 6 of them reaching adulthood; but John died at the early age of 42 and did not live to see them married. Sally lived on another 40 years, dying at the age of 79. John's will, dated Mar 27, 1848, the day before his death, mentions all his children that grew to maturity. His widow, Sarah, is found at a head of household in the three successive Censuses: 1850-1870, following his untimely death. John and Sally are buried in the Arnold Hill cemetery, south of Elkins, Randolph Co., WV. Many of the descendants of this family still live in Randolph Co. WILL : Randolph Co, VA: dated March 27, 1848

Stanford Theatre Schedule
Classic Movies
Tickets for the double feature are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors (65 and over), and $3.00 for young people under 18. You can always enjoy the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ before and after the 7:30 show. Please note that cell phones and food (other than candy, popcorn, and drinks) are not allowed in the theatre. The Stanford Theatre is dedicated to bringing back the movie-going experience of Hollywood's Golden Age. Great classic films were not made to be watched on a video screen in your living room. They depend on a larger-than-life image, and the shared reactions of a real audience. The Stanford Theatre first opened in June of 1925. For decades nearly every important Hollywood picture played there on its first release. The people of Palo Alto saw them all for the very first time in this theatre. In 1987 the Packard Foundation bought the theatre and restored it to its original condition. It quickly became America's most popular classic movie house. More people saw Casablanca there on its 50th anniverary in 1992 than at any other theatre in America.
