The Evolutionary Psychology
Frequently Asked Questions website.
Written by Edward Hagen, Dept. of Anthropology, Univ. of Calif, Santa Barbara. Although written in stuffy academic language this is an excellent website that leads a student in a lineal sequence explaining this exciting new perspective in understanding human behavior. Study Guides and Strategies An excellent web site devoted to one subject: how to study and prepare for tests. Several languages available making this a potential planet gathering place. The Center for Evolutionary Psychology (Places to study EP on left side) 4000 Years of Women in Science Here's the skinny: only Chimpanzees and humans form alliances to wage violence against their fellow species. Only the males of both species engage in violent organized violence. Learn about women, support them, and elevate their policy making roles if you want justice and peace.

44. Evolutionary Theory: The Big Problems!
(1) There is no explanation of how life got started; (2) The fossil record has NO transitional forms ( missing link ) from one species to another.
http://emporium.turnpike.net/C/cs/cartoon.htm
The big issues!
Two of the biggest weaknesses of evolutionary theory are:
  • There is no adequate explanation for the origin of life from dead chemicals. Even the simplest life form is tremendously complex.
  • The fossil record , our only documentation of whether evolution actually occurred in the past, lacks any transitional forms, and all types appear fully-formed when first present. The evidence that "pre-men" (ape-men) existed is dubious at best. So called pre-man fossils turn out to be those of apes, extinct apes, fully man, or historical frauds. American Megafauna, 2nd Ed.
New Second Edition boxed set, completely redone in color! American Megafauna pits dinosaurs against mammals in ancient America. The game is designed for two to four players, from ages 9 to adult, or can be played solitaire. It recreates the titanic contest of these two types of prehistoric beasts from the Triassic to the present. The contest initially appeared to be won by the dinosaurs, who strutted triumphant for 170 million years, only to be overthrown, in what must be the upset of the eon, by the mammals. Yet the contest is not over. This is a game of ecology, evolution, and DNA. Players start as one of four nondescript archetypes, but can branch out to new species from this basic type by bidding on genotype and DNA cards as they are revealed. For auction "currency," players use gene coins from a "gene pool." DNA cards allow players to create strange animals, from cud-chewing crocodiles with antlers, to saber-tooth meat-eating camels. In the the advanced version, the continent of Laurentia is occasionally flooded or glaciated; greenhouse levels change; and the three Milankovitch cycles are handled by cards that occur with historical probabilities. Biome cards, including cycad prairies, mountains, ice sheets, and mangrove swamps, appear on the map in succession according to "climax" ratings.

to the homepage of the National Center for Science Education, Inc NCSE a nonprofit, tax-exempt membership organization working to defend the teaching of evolution against sectarian attack. We are a nationally-recognized clearinghouse for information and advice to keep evolution in the science classroom and "scientific creationism" out. While there are organizations that oppose "scientific creationism" as part of their general goals (such as good science education, or separation of church and state), NCSE is the only national organization that specializes in this issue. When teachers, parents, school boards, the press and others need information and help, they turn to NCSE.
While most of NCSE's work involves defending evolution against attacks, we also work to increase public understanding of evolution and science "as a way of knowing." We also have programs to help teachers who want to improve their teaching of evolution. Here you'll find information and resources for all these activities.
