All-Reviews.com Videogame Review: Evolution 2
Publisher: UBI Soft Category: Role-Playing Platform: Dreamcast ESRB Rating: Teen Release Date: September 2000 Overall Rating: 2.5 Stars out of 4 Review by Tom Allen Why on earth is this game rated T for teens? Is it because Gre has a rifle and shoots it? Look at all the weaponry fire in Star Wars; that series is rated PG. This game is animated in the cartooniest way possible, and yet it still gets a Teen rating? What the hell is going on? Well, here's the answer: "use of tobacco and alcohol." This description appears on the back of the game's jewel case. So let me get this straight. If Chewbacca lit up a cigarette and Han popped open a cold one, Star Wars would be PG-13? Whatever. Evolution 2 is an excellent game for young players who need a transition from Pokemon to more sophisticated fare like Final Fantasy. The large and colorful graphics and characters will appeal to kids, as will the simple but not stupid game play.

e-mail this article interview with David Duchovny another review by Cynthia Fuchs 21st Century Devo A liens. The Pentagon. A secret conspiracy involving a military cover-up. David Duchovny. Evolution 's various elements read like a script treatment for the next X-Files movie. It even features a Scully stand-in: Allison Reed (Julianne Moore), is a sultry-yet-detached, red-headed scientist whose commitment to procedure and fact-finding allow her to mask an attraction to the more free-wheeling, rule-breaking biology professor, Ira Kane (Duchovny). Reed is introduced to the audience as she strides confidently toward the camera, about to brief assembled military higher-ups and scientists about the current alien threat facing humanity. Climbing the steps to the meeting, however, she trips on the steps and flounders comically on the ground in an attempt to regain her lost balance. Her seriousness and officious attitude are pulled both literally and figuratively out from under her. While it would be simplistic to say that Evolution equals X-Files plus pratfalls, this moment encapsulates the marriage of science fiction and goofy slapstick that recurs throughout the film.

In warm memory of Tero Sand and Bob Schadewald
Talk.origins is a Usenet newsgroup devoted to the discussion and debate of biological and physical origins. Most discussions in the newsgroup center on the creation/evolution controversy, but other topics of discussion include the origin of life, geology, biology, catastrophism, cosmology and theology. The Talk.Origins Archive is a collection of articles and essays, most of which have appeared in talk.origins at one time or another. The primary reason for this archive's existence is to provide mainstream scientific responses to the many frequently asked questions (FAQs) that appear in the talk.origins newsgroup and the frequently rebutted assertions of those advocating intelligent design or other creationist pseudosciences.
Visit the Panda's Thumb The Panda's Thumb is dedicated to explaining the theory of evolution, critiquing the claims of the anti-evolution movement, and defending the integrity of science and science education in America and around the world.

The Evolution of the Conservation Movement, 1850-1920 documents the historical formation and cultural foundations of the movement to conserve and protect America's natural heritage, through books, pamphlets, government documents, manuscripts, prints, photographs, and motion picture footage drawn from the collections of the Library of Congress. The collection consists of 62 books and pamphlets, 140 Federal statutes and Congressional resolutions, 34 additional legislative documents, excerpts from the Congressional Globe and the Congressional Record , 360 Presidential proclamations, 170 prints and photographs, 2 historic manuscripts, and 2 motion pictures. The mission of the Library of Congress is to make its resources available and useful to Congress and the American people and to sustain and preserve a universal collection of knowledge and creativity for future generations. The goal of the Library's National Digital Library Program is to offer broad public access to a wide range of historical and cultural documents as a contribution to education and lifelong learning. The Library of Congress presents these documents as part of the record of the past. These primary historical documents reflect the attitudes, perspectives, and beliefs of different times. JOES CREATIONISM VS EVOLUTION WEB PAGE
GOOD SCIENCE VS BAD SCIENCE Evolution Exposed: Because for so many people supposed truths of science seem to be at odds with the Bible they never even consider that the Bible is truly God's Word. Evolution is one of those supposed truths. Three 100% arguments against evolution - 1. Evolution cannot take place unless random mutations occur, but in the case of advanced animal defense mechanisms random mutation could not produce them.
2. All observed mutations cause a loss of DNA information.
Example - all experiments in the laboratory that involve the DNA of mutated specimens always show a loss of DNA information, for evolution to truly take place there must be the addition of new data to the DNA chain - yet this has never been the case. In fact many evolutionist always show animals that have loss some feature (de-evolution) and hold that up as an example of evolution. 3. No intermediate fossils
Example - If evolution were true there should be multitudes of examples of animals which are between stages, for instance - there has never been a fossil discovered that shows how wings developed, never a fossil of a creature whose forelimb is halfway between being a arm and a wing. Please do not let "bad" science discourage you from accepting the Bible as God's Word.
