The zoo is unique in its approach to presenting animal exhibits to the public in that every effort is made to bring the public as close to the animals as possible without endangering the animals or the visitors. Acquisitions of new animals, ground expansions and an excellent staff have helped to make this zoo one of the finest. The Zoo’s Reptile House was opened in October of 1999 with the help of County Freeholders, County residents and supporters. There is also, Jerome the Giraffe, Brutus and Tinkerbell Cougar, Fernando the Llama, Matilda and Dundee Wallaby, Charlie the Camel, monkeys, tigers, bobcats, leopards, a zebra, and a black bear. The monkey house is new and an aviary was opened in May of 1998. The main entrance to the Park is at the intersection of Route 9 and Crest Haven Road.
