    Roast: Full City
Body: Full Acidity: Pleasant, Lively The center of coffee production on the Indonesian Island of Celebes is the village of Tana Toraja. This quiet village is located in the isolated central highlands surrounded by mountains that are between 6,500 to 9,800 feet above sea level. The amount of annual rainfall is 156 inches. The village lies 190 miles north of the main port of Ujung-Pandang where the bulk of Celebes' coffee production is exported. In the 18th Century Dutch traders introduced Arabia coffee to the area where it thrived in conditions of ideal temperature, rainfall, soil and drainage. The tradition of cultivating excellent coffees has been continued in the region. Kalosi Toraja coffee is grown on small scale privately owned farms at more than 3,290 feet above sea level. Great care is taken at all stages of cultivation and processing to achieve a coffee that is famous for its rich, smooth and full bodied flavor. It is worthy of its reputation as one of the great gourmet coffees of the world. Zambia Back to Top Roast: Full City Body: Well-balanced Taste: Tangy Acidity: Lively The center of coffee production in Zambia is the Isanya Estate. Located in Zambia's Northern Highlands and overlooking Lake Tanganyika, Isanya is situated almost 5,000 feet above sea level. Its unique, gentle microclimate and deep soils produce a lively, aromatic bean with a delightfully tangy berry taste. This outstanding bean provides a bright, well-balanced cup appreciated by discriminating coffee lovers.

The territory of Northern Rhodesia was administered by the South Africa Company from 1891 until takeover by the UK in 1923. During the 1920s and 1930s, advances in mining spurred development and immigration. The name was changed to Zambia upon independence in 1964. In the 1980s and 1990s, declining copper prices and a prolonged drought hurt the economy. Elections in 1991 brought an end to one-party rule, but the subsequent vote in 1996 saw blatant harassment of opposition parties.

Research interests Adrian is a member of the Hydrology and Earth Surface Processes Research Group , working closely with Des Walling More recently, Adrian has worked on a collaborative research programme in Zambia funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID). This project explored the potential for using an integrated approach to establishing catchment sediment budgets and the subsequent use of the information assembled to assist with the design and implementation of soil erosion and sediment delivery management strategies in the developing world. Although based on a Zambian case study, the integrated methodology developed is transferable. The approach tested comprises a combination of sediment fingerprinting, Cs measurements and turbidity monitoring and provides a useful means of establishing detailed sediment budgets for catchments of various sizes. In addition to providing one of the most comprehensive suspended sediment budgets for any catchment in Africa, this work has also tested the utility of sediment fingerprinting in a tropical environment and the usefulness of

The election in 2001 was marked by administrative problems with three parties filing a legal petition challenging the election of ruling party candidate Levy MWANAWASA. The new president launched a far-reaching anti-corruption campaign in 2002, which resulted in the 2003 arrest of the previous president Frederick CHILUBA and many of his supporters. Opposition parties currently hold a majority of seats in the National Assembly.
