The Thunderbird Youth Academy (TYA) located in Pryor, Oklahoma is an Oklahoma National Guard run program to help "at risk youth". The program is designed to provide 16 to 18 year old (male or female) high school dropouts the opportunity to gain control over their lives. The program utilizes a "quasi-military" approach to teach self-discipline, improve self-esteem and physical fitness.
