Umbrella organization for local agencies and programs that provide mentors to children of promise. News, event schedule, local program directory, mentoring tips and advice, and related links.

December 8, 2003
Dear Friend of Mentoring,
With great personal sadness, I must announce the end of Granite State Youth Mentors as an independent initiative for New Hampshire. Due to the limited resources that we all face in the nonprofit world these days, Granite State Youth Mentors cannot maintain its status as a viable organization.
It has always been a value to not compete with our local partners for funding and resources, and in this value, we are loyal.
Our staff, Board of Directors, and our founders are hopeful to arrange a merge with another youth-serving organization in order to continue to provide you with the core services that you have identified as vital.
As a result of your evaluation of our services, we are seeking an organization that can continue our work in four primary areas; statewide advocacy, marketing of mentoring, training, and technical assistance.
I hope that you will understand my personal decision not to continue with the project in its new incarnation. It would be too difficult for me in a new role where I could not be afforded the opportunity and the resources to create a vision and see it through. I will, however, continue my work as an advocate for mentoring and as a training and technical consultant. (You can continue to reach me at

Established in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters is the one of the oldest non-profit organizations around today. We serve all of Maricopa County. Due to the long history of advancing caring and selfless individuals like you, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been able to grow interest in and nurture the children of today so that they may become good citizens of tomorrow. Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentorship Program
Good mentorship programs are hard to come by these days, however here at Big Brothers Big Sisters we have taken Arizona mentoring charities to a new level. Many non-profit companies and charity organizations are strictly capable of providing monetary assistance to the youth of today. The mentorship service we offer has raised the bar for all programs over the last 100 years. Being a mentor to a child can be one of the most personally rewarding ways of giving back to your community. Through your financial support and contributions as a volunteer Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship program can continue to provide for a more stable future.
