Vinyasa yoga instructions - The art of sequencing Yoga postures. A number of yoga postures sequenced together in a certain way is known as a Vinyasa.

Vinyasa Yoga
Focusing on breathing is an essential ingredient when doing yoga posture sequencing. The breath must lead the way in our practice from posture to posture. This means that before a movement is performed the mind must know exactly where the breath is so that movement and breath are perfectly timed. Another important area to consider when performing a Vinyasa is observing mental thoughts and thought patterns. A common mistake we all make in practice is allowing the mind to move ahead of everything else, which it will do as soon as concentration is broken. The mind is in the next posture before we have left the last. The regular practice of breathing techniques, asanas and meditation can help in this area.
"Surrender to the breath and calm the mind in practice." Yoga postures must be carefully balanced with counter postures through a Vinyasa. The movements in the Vinyasa are carefully sculpted to move the body in opposing directions to previous postures. These posture sequences (Vinyasa's) change as our physical bodies change with the practice of Yoga. For example, beginners whose spines may not be as flexible, will find themselves performing more forward bends within a sequence, and as they progress, arching the back will become easier and more involved in a yoga sequences. One-on-one instruction in Yoga is essential for proper knowledge and understanding in the roots of practice. Individualized instruction follows the individual's progress in Yoga.
